I am in the process of picking one up and would like to know if there is one or more in the area for future maintenance and upgrades.

I think you'll need to come to the DMV area where there are a couple options. Ben at Daisy Import Auto has done great work for me and many others.

Thanks "JW" for the response. Another question in ref to brakes. A good company for brake rotors and pads (preferably low dust)?

For a stock brake system and street-only driving? If so then OEM pads are good for low dust. There are a variety of rotors and frankly I've had good results at track days with even inexpensive rotors. You can see options on RockAuto. I was using Hawk HPS pads for street driving on the OE brakes, but they do dust significantly more than OEM pads. My car has larger brakes now and I use the Hawk ceramic for street driving, which make nearly no dust.

Yes, street only driving. Do you recommend slotted rotors or blank? Thanks

I don't think there's a difference. Some people buy slotted/drilled rotors because they like the way they look. That's never been a thing for me. I don't think there's a downside to slotted rotors, whereas drilled rotors apparently start to crack sooner than nondrilled ones.

I had a good guy at Priority Aura in Chesapeake that was a certified NSX tech - but he recently "retired" into another occupation. I have heard that Hall Acura in Virginia Beach has a certified guy, but I haven't been there. My car only has 13k miles on it, so haven't had much to do to it. The guy in Priority Acura did all the hoses, and timing belt etc and did a super job. So I'm looking for someone local that is knowledgeable and trustworthy too.

Anyone find a good tech?

I used to live in Yorktown back in 2006-2010 and there was a great independent shop called Custom Car Care that specialized in all things Honda or Nissan. A gentleman named Brady is the owner/proprietor and they took awesome care of all my Hondas when I lived there. I was a couple years away from owning my NSX and have since moved to Texas. However, if I still lived in Yorktown I'd certainly let Brady and his team look at my car and at the very least see if they had a recommendation. Give Brady a shout and let me know what he says.

Good luck!
