I was wondering if you have heard of anyone replacing the factory painted top on the Targa models with a clear top? I've been wanting to do this for my '96.

An alternative might be to install a pop-top moon roof within the removable T-top. This way you benefit from using all the exisitng high-quality hardware of the T-top as a frame. (I wouldn't do it, because I wnat my car to look stock.) However, if you found a totaled NSX-T, you may want to experiment with a top. Best luck.

This might also be a way to get a bit more head room for those drivers who need it.

Interesting idea, reminds me of something like the Lotus Esprit.
I would say it is possible. A Lexan top with built in latching mechanisms would be possible.
I do not believe that it is currently offered.
