I'm sure everyone here has noticed the "parts for sale" thread is rocking along better than ever before. Just letting the Mods know how much I/we appreciate it.

hey guys,

I noticed the immediate posts for "Parts for Sale" section and I love it. I like the fact that you can check anytime and there could be new parts posted.

The downfall to changes i noticed to the site was when I used to enter a forum, all the new posts were in BOLD and I would read the posts I to read then they would turn to normal script. Once I left the selected forum even with the browser "back" button all the threads would go to standard text except for new threads that were posted while I was out of the forum.

I was just easier to visually look at all the threads to see which were now. I guess now I have to go by date.

Great, I can spend my money even faster now... All in that quest for "The right stuff".

Very Nice, just remember to put all the right info into your ads.
Like where you are from....thats important and missed alot.
Just stuff like that, stuff you would ask someone if you where the buyer.
Thanks guys.

Couldn't agree more with the OP.
I really think that since we all have been wanting this for so long that we will make sure that we put all of the required info in the posts.
Lud is being very kind by allowing us to run with this so we need to NOT disappoint him, and ourselves, and posts things the correct way.
I very much appreciate the trust he has instilled in us.

couldn't agree more... and as consequence of such a free system, i think the abusers (not the casual mistakers) have to be severely punished...the rules are there to be read BEFORE posting, not AFTER problems with the add

Yea, I think its much better than too. If its gets out of hand, we'll cross that bridge when it occurs. As long as there are no reply's allowed in the thread's, we should be okay:wink:

You, Me and a couple of Aluminum baseball batz will keep it straight.
You should have seen Ed and Me at the carwash on Sunday.
The guy hopped into his Mazda and hit the hills.

It's working OK now, with some non rule readers.
Police the posts like craigslist and use the

button if you see offenders

Would it make sense to add a 'Please list your geographical location' requirement in the Parts or Cars FS rules, especially when the seller doesn't want to ship? I've come across several where the (bulky) item looked interesting but couldn't assume it was here in CA just because half the NSXs in the country are out here. I know there is a Location field in the user properties but people don't always fill it in, or they put in something that makes no sense.

Would it be unreasonable to ask sellers to maybe post 1 thread titled: "OEM parts", "Aftermarket parts" or "Carbon Fiber parts" if the same seller has multiple things for sale at the same time?? This way it does not take so much space on posting page. Sometimes there will be 2 pages of stuff for sale in one day . What do you guys think? Yea or Nea??
I have over 15 NSX parts and stuff for sale, but I tried to keep it to a few separate postings over a period of time.

Just want to do what makes sense and not abuse the FS section.

If someone wants to create "NSX For Sale" and "NSX Parts for sale" ad templates I will link it from somewhere prominent in the appropriate forums. I think that would be more helpful than adding more rules. We can barely get 3/4 of the people to include a VIN number in their ad and that is a pretty clear rule.
