Spent a great day at Calabogie Motorsports Park (calabogiemotorsports.com), a beautiful 5 mile track about 45 mins away from my house. I'm so fortunate to have one of the most beautiful and and challenging road course literally in my back yard. It was Ferrari Day, but the lone NSX held her own!

Thanks for looking :)

Lucky you John!

How well does your SC NSX hold up against the big boys?

Cheers,
Johnny

Thanks for the comments guys :)

The SC held its own quite well actually. Everything up to the F355 was no problem, F360 and up were another story although I did reel in a Challenge Stradale consistently all morning but I think the driver was really taking it easy :)

The hood pins are NRG CF/SS pins. I bught them a while ago. I'd go Aerocatch today if given the choice.

I like the first pic.

That's right, man! Give it to those greaseballs! (I'm actually Italian myself, but it's nice to see a fellow NSX showing the Ferrari fags what's up!

PS - Sweet NSX!

Thanks!

Its funny...the Ferrari track guys really appreciated the NSX and the work that went into it. They stood around the car and asked a lot of questions. The import guys loved the car. The only sneers I caught all day seemed to come from the F-car owners who were...shall we say, more into the lifestyle (hats, shirts, shoes, purses) than cars. ;) I did overhear one lady say to her F-car owner husband, "honey, I'd much rather have a real Ferrari..."

Hay, you car looks way better then the rest of them. Great pics. I like No 1.

Looks good John!!! Maybe one day I will get a chance to try it out!!

Peter!! You of all people will love this place! I am registered again for Aug 14th for a full track school as well as lapping on Sept 11th. Please consider coming out on any of those days. They're both on Fridays, come out on Thurs night and spend the evening at my house and we'll head out bright and early the next day. I guarantee you after one day you will claim this place to be your "home" track. I'll show you a great time bud. ;)

Great photos, you NSX looks amazing!!

btw, WHY is that the GEIGO little guy in this photo?? what is he doing there?
:biggrin::biggrin:

Could you comment a little further on how you & your NSX compared with all the different F-cars?

Well, for a 17 year old car it performed amazingly. Acceleration, braking and handling, it was on par with the F360. Of course I am going by the seat of the pants feel here and nothing empirical. As well, the car felt very stable and I was very confident driving it. I noticed the older F-cars was very twitchy and the owners touched on their brakes alot (this can be driver experience too but I never consider myself a track expert). I rode with a guy in an old Testarossa and it was incredible how much he had to fight the gated gear shift to get the car around the track. I never had to show that kind of effort in the NSX. The F430's were glorious on the track, both in looks, sound and performance. However, we are dealing with essentially brand new cars here.

Kudos to the F-owners who actually take their beloved car to the track. It also makes them a favorite target for passing as well. Keep up the good work- looks like alot of fun:smile:
