Radio Noise

Does anyone else have this problem?

Everytime I turn on my oem radio (whether cd, radio, or tape deck) I get this funny whining sound from the back of the radio. It sounds like noise interference coming from behind the radio inside the console. I have a 91 and I can't figure out what it is. The sound is there even when I turn the volume down all the way. The previous owner had a cell phone stand/kit hardwired into the car with the antennae and microphone. Could this be the cause of all that annoying noise interference? I'm ready to rip the whole cell phone and radio unit out of the dash board.

Is the noise comming from the speakers? Sounds like there is a possible poor grounding with that handsfree kit.

No the noise isn't coming from the speakers because I tried turning the volume down all the way. I definately hear the noise from inside the console behind the radio. I may not have any choice but to start tearing stuff out. :frown:
