Reno/Tahoe Sighting Monday 6/13

got a call from a friend of mine who was just passed by ~15 nsx's coming from reno over the hill past mt rose... said "it looked like a rainbow" and wondered who they were.

anybody here part of that group? if so, c'mon - post some pics with your cars and the lake in the background

I'd sure like to know who they were and where they were from. I'm 80 miles from Reno and getting together with other NSX owners would be great. :biggrin:

Man, that's what I said when we had good window pane back in the early 70's. Tell your friend to come down to the Blue Note and bring some of whatever they got.

Now about 15 NSXs coming over the pass into Hrant's territory without him knowing?.......c'mon, ain't possible. Must've been 15 old farts in Dodge Stealths on their way to Thunder Valley Casino.

Let's talk more about your friend seeing rainbows. :tongue:

hmmm... very strange.

my friend is what you would call **very informed** about the exotic/supercar world.

for instance, when i took him by a private garage i know of with a mclaren, enzo and a raft of p, f, l and am cars, he knew **far** more than i did about them and discussed each of the cars with the caretaker/team... just left me standing there saying things like, "wow, this one has nice paint"

so, he knows what nsx's are, what they look like, blah blah blah. when he called he didn't appear to be on any form of mind-altering substance, though tahoe passes may be thin on oxygen content

i'll ask him to check his old-guy memory.

otoh, they could have been those good-looking nsx-wannabe's, the corvette

I know the S2000 guys drove to Reno this past weekend from Sac. For us, it's hard to mistake an S2000 for an NSX, but for the layperson, they might have assumed it's an NSX? Just some speculation.

thanks for the thoughts, but today i called my friend to confirm his sighting and, yup, he says they were nsx's. he's been around more than a few exotics / supercars and has personally spent a fair amount of time with both of my nsx's, so my $'s are on him.

someday they'll surface... maybe like a phantom fleet of pirate ships, or WW fighters... :wink:
