Serious Camber Question

When purchasing my '93, the previous seller (who took exceptional care of the car) told me that the camber(s) had been adjusted to save tire wear, but that would make the car unstable and perhaps dangerous at very high speeds. My question is this, how fast and how unstable will this make the car? Occasionally, I would like to get the car up there on the highway. Not necessarily for long periods of time, but just spurts. Obviously, I want the car to be stable. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

David.

If he mean by toe, then yes, less negative toe or zero toe would make the car less stable. However, if the camber had been adjusted to "Save tires", that will mean that the camber is adjusted close to zero... and that will not have any effect on highway speeding. Camber matters most in corners.

If you have doubt, do check the alignment. It will also be a good insurance if the guy who does your alignment the suspension is good or not.

Of course it has effect on highway speeding but in a positive way: A lot of negative camber makes the car unstable at high speeds (and I speak of top speed regions) in straight line - zero camber makes it more stable and less sensitive for truck traces.

Thank you both, that is what I thought!
