If anyone else is experiencing this, this may help you out. I had an annoying rattle coming coming from the trunk/rear spoiler area at idle. You could see the outboard end of the spoiler vibrating up & down & the noise stopped if you held it. Look underneath on the bottom side of the spoiler. There are some round plastic plugs. Pop them out with your fingernail. Inside is a small black phillips head screw. My outboard two were loose. Tightened them up & rattle was no more. If it happens again I will loctite them. Be careful putting the plugs back in. The flat faces front of car, the horizontal prong faces left, and the vertical one goes to the right (if viewed from rear which is the only way you would do this anyhow). Yes, I looked in the FAQ under what's that noise & this wasn't there so I thought I would post it.

Lighten up, I've had it 3 wks & driven it once. It's new to me.

Welcome!

The problem with searching or finding an answer is asking the right question. Some of the best college courses I had focused on "asking the right question"...in your case you have to know what things are called before searching.

/Don't take Armando wrong, he means well and knows his stuff.

It's a good post. I had the same rattle and I could feel it was the loose spoiler thing so I took it to the dealer. I don't have many tools and I don't have a short phillips screwdriver. They fixed it for free. They do a lot of stuff for me free of charge.

I did search for "trunk rattle" and didn't get any hits addressing this noise. Posted since it seemed to be a new thing & may save someone else future aggravation & expense. Thanks "other" Tony.

If it doesn't pop up with the most obvious search, it helps to create a topic with the appropriate title. Good job. Thanks for posting.
