Anyone know of a compact spare tire that (when inflated) will fit in the spare tire well and whose bolt pattern will fit on the NSX?

I doubt that there is such a thing. The wheel has to be large enough to fit over the NSX hub and caliper - which means, basically, the wheel has to be as big as the existing NSX spare tire for your year (the yellow '97-03 spare is slightly bigger than the orange '91-96 spare, to clear the larger calipers on the newer cars). That leaves VERY little additional clearance around the outside of that wheel for rubber. The deflated stock spare JUST BARELY fits into the space under the hood, both horizontally and vertically. Any wheel that large, with an inflated tire on it, is a virtual certainty to be too large to fit.
