starter button with transponder

I want to install a starter button where the key goes. I wanted to place the transponder receiver under the coin tray so that I could just place the key there and press the button. Unfortunately the pre-97 NSXs do not use transponder technology (I have a 91). My question is... is there an aftermarket alternative? If not, could I buy a 97+ "ignition unit" and simply replace mine?
