Suspension Cleaning

Just wondering if anybody has any clue what to use to clean suspension parts,tried few products but didnt clean so well.

I found that varsol on a rag is the best method for cleaning the aluminum parts.
Dawn dishwashing liquid and water with a scub brush is good for general underbody work.
I have a car hoist so can clean the underside then hose it off.

Thanks Jim for the info,but it seems I carnt buy varsol in Japan.
Is there anything else that I can use anything that I can spray on that dosent harm the rubbers.
I tried simple green it sort of cleaned up but not enough.
We only have 1 type of simple green.

My next choice after varsol is TSP.
Is it available in Japan?
It's water soluable and will dissolve grease.
You could try it in various concentrations.
