Tim Russert passed away this afternoon. He was such a neat guy. I loved Meet the Press and his book, Big Russ was great.

RIP

Saw that while watching CNBC today as well.

I always respected his attitude and he seemed to have worked hard in raising his son well. RIP. Odd how you watch Warren B walking around laughing getting close to three digits yet out of the blue Russert dies at 58. Life is short.

Yup, saw this a bit ago, very sad. It reminds you how fragile we are, and you never know when it's going to be your time.

He was a class act all the way, too young to go RIP

+1 to each of your posts.

i respected and admired his approach to the biz and his readers / viewing public.

Tim was truly one of the great ones... named by Time as one of their top 100 for 2007.

One of those folks who proved Confucius right - "Find a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life.".

Our thoughts and prayers to the family... Tim - now you get that dream interview with Gandhi, JFK and 'Honest Abe'. Go get 'em !

Great reporter. Asked tough questions. He actually came down pretty good on reps of both sides, though he was still left leaning
I will miss him though.
Too bad it wasn't Olberman...

Heart attack, while at work. Apparently it was bad enough that they couldn't get him to the hospital in time.

One of those guys who was respected even by people who didn't like him. That takes character.

Nick
