Have you been thinking about the ultimate powerplant for your NSX? ScienceofSpeed recently sold our 1992 widebody NSX to a customer who is building a top speed race car. As part of the build, we are removing the pristine ultra low mile high compression 3.5L engine to replace it with turbocharged engine. This engine has literally less than 500 miles - it was used for Modified Magazine's Super Tuner Shootout, and at NSXPO 2010 - and is in like new condition. It produces over 450 hp at the crankshaft (see link below about build):

We are offering discounted installation cost and a "like new" warranty on the engine if it is installed and tuned at our facility. The engine features a static compression ratio of 12.5:1, so 100+ octane or E85 is required. At no extra charge, we are including our well developed tuning calibration file based on E85 fuel and ScienceofSpeed Individual Throttle Body Induction. The engine is sold complete from valve covers to oil pan. Electrical harness, intake manifold, and accessories are not included - but available should you need them. ScienceofSpeed Individual Throttle Body Induction System is sold separately. The engine also may be reconfigured for low compression using new pistons and factory camshafts - if you're interested, please contact us to discuss the details.

The engine removed is the ultimate naturally aspirated engine we offer - and more. You can read about our stage 3 engine here:

In addition to the ScienceofSpeed Stage 3 3.5L $17,650 package, Toda Type-C Billet Camshafts ($6,040), full ScienceofSpeed valvetrain including intake valves, springs, retainers, and bases ($791), ScienceofSpeed Lost Motion Assemblies ($174.75), and ScienceofSpeed NSX-R Wrinkle Red Valve Covers ($389.00) have been added - making the total build cost $25,044.75 + the cost of a core engine.

We are offering this package for $17,500 + your core engine (if you want to keep your core engine, please add $4,500) - that's more than $7500 less than building it from scratch!

Should you have any questions, please contact Chris at ScienceofSpeed via e-mail or phone.
