Hello NSX experts. I am still an NSX novice and I am looking for your guidance in regards to the question, "When should I replace my Timing Belt and Water Pump for the first time?" I've looked through the threads and it looks like it's 7 years but how many miles? Which ever comes first right? I've found threads that say to check the VIN at an ACURA maintenance facility to determine if it has been done by the previous owner. Another thread I found was to look at the part and you will know if it's been replaced as the water plug/drain will be lower than the original. But I can't seem to get a good angle to look down to see the drain/plug location.
I will do the above in conjunction with any expert advice i see below. Also, do you recommend purchasing the OEM Timing Belt and OEM Water Pump online and then taking it in to ACURA and paying for labor (obviously the website these OEM parts are purchased from has to be reputable and not something like Ebay)? I've done this with my current Honda (keep in mind...OEM parts) and I save lots of money.
FYI...it's a 1997 3.2L with 32,313 miles. Any expert advice helps. Thanks.
