Advan AVS Model 5's, where are you at?

Those are mass market wheels, no way they are hub centric... Synth you know better! ;) You are going to end up with some broken studs eventually if you don't get some... They are like $25/set for aluminum ones on eBay.

Can I play too?

I'm working on putting together a 17/18 set. I've seen lots of pictures of these wheels but when I saw these in person I did some combination of a giant grin and crapping myself.

sometimes i wonder if bright silver is the best color for the advan 5s and if it would be a blasphemy to refinish the wheels high lustre gunmetal...

Model 5's will soon run the world

I personally know of a few more sets out there and am waiting for some more owners to step up and post some pics

I'm a fan of black as well... Although gunmetal/silver really show the nice lines of these wheels!!

I'm probably going to have them powder coated gunmetal after I get some fronts. Silver on Sebring Silver is too boring for me.

this color looks like a great refinish candidate

work burning black (would look very slick on silver/magnum gunmetal nsx)

and this rare oem 'dark chrome' finish looks quite badass as well (would work well across all colors that want a little more show and shine then the standard silver advans)

for those who are trying to build a set of 18s/19s or 17/18s

http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...-5-very-VERY-rare-18-5x114-W0QQAdIdZ415221657

you can take the front 18x8+35 and mate them with nsxotics extra pair of 19x10 +19 and have a very aggressive set of avs5s (definately no spacers provided the front wheels fit no problem)

the rear 18x9+35's can be used for the rears and mate them to a set of 17s if/when they come up.

*not my ad and i have no idea if these wheels will clear nsx front/rear brakes or not or if the wheels fit the nsx hubs or not*

Those are in CN which is tough for most US guys to get them imported. Unless you know some tricks?

And I no longer have the extra set of 19x10's. I do have 2 19x8 45mm though, but a bit narrower than most people would want to run.

no real tricks unfortunately :(

that dark chrome finish would look really crazy on your green ride actually.

I'm not really worried. :)

I really hope you are not running on the track with no rings. That can end up really bad. Don't thnk you should do it at all. But definitely not on the track. We don't want you hurt. I have hardened studs even.

When they shear, your wheel is flying off.

As per Synth's track pics he runs his other Advans on the track... and I'd presume those have rings.
