CTSC status and possibly group-buy

I really don't know why you people question my Intel A Gents on this board.
My predictions come from Miss Presley and should be close to 100% right.

I thought the last CTSC group buy got them for around $6900?

To be honest, I don't think the gb price will go down to what other ppl on this forum got before. To be realistic, we will be lucky to get one for $8500 ($10,000-$1500). It is still better. I have spoke with autoparts last time, and they would required 50% deposit for ppl who are interested. I don't know them well enough to bargain the discount; I am asking if anyone who are close to SOS or any other NSX vendors to please setup a price so we can join. From this thread, there are already 3-5 members who are interested.

They are filling backorders and still moving forward with production from what they told me, but new orders may take a couple of months to fill while the backorders are satisfied.

I would be interested as well.

I know that they have back order. However, if we order independently now, the wait time will be the same. So why don't we put together a GB and wait together.

I can contact Chris from SOS or autoparts, the problem is that I don't know them well enough to haggle the price. Is there anyone who are interested and would be able to contact the dealer? Thanks

I have a contact who used to be a Comptech dealer before they were dissolved and put back together. Since then, he has not attempted to negotiate a new deal with them. I asked if he was going to in the future and he could only say that he plans to, but not in the near future. He's waiting to make sure any work he puts into working out a deal with them will not be short-lived. He wants to see the company up and running smoothly like it was before. I'd guess that might be in several months; then add time for him to work out a deal with the new company and then another month or so for me to work out a GB with him. Maybe end of the year, early next year?

I don't know what pricing my guy would be able to get with the new company but back before when Comptech was not called CT-Engineering or whatever, I got my CTSC for nearly a thousand less than any GB ever posted on this site that I've seen (back when NOPI frequented the site).

I'll keep up with my contact (I'm always keeping up relations with him because he's such a great contact to have) and post here as each milestone is reached, i.e. CT is up and running smoothly, my guy has become a dealer again, I've contacted him about a GB, etc.

I have a contact at a local tuner shop that deals with several high end cars working on a Group Buy as well. I should know some numbers from him in a couple of days. The more options we have, the better. May the best price win! :)

That works in perfect for the wifes no more mods this year :p way to go J I don't mind waitng 8 months anyways, gives me time to think of other things I may need to buy so I don't do anything twice when finally doing the install :)

I'm interested in a GB. But I've also been thinking about going 02+......Hmmm.....what to do

If there's a long wait period, I'll probably just hold on to my money or take a different route. I have no use buying a super charger in November....I might as well just wait until next spring.

Is this the contact guy I met from you? :) if so let me know the moment he can get me one...I guess I can wait out for a few months and save a little more.

I hope not! I'm pretty sure I got in on the last group buy and I paid quite a bit more than that.

It may not have been the "last group buy" but I'm pretty sure there was a group buy where that was the price.

Anyhoo, I didn't realize there was such a back load of orders right now. I'll probably end up going on my own or some other form of FI. I don't feel like putting 50% down and then waiting all summer...

Okay....the tuner shop that I deal with (they do primarily high end stuff like Lambos, Porsches, Bentleys, and almost all of the Indianpolis Colts and Pacers cars), and they are willing to do a group buy. As long as they get at least 5 people, they will sell the CTSC for $8,900 per kit. If they get at least 10 people buying, they will drop the price to only $8,500 per kit. They are a reliable shop, and is where I buy a lot of car parts from, as well as recommend them to others.

He may also be putting together some other group buys, but I will keep that separate from this thread.

Isn't the price $8415 from www.autocarparts.com without any group buy?

Well I hope the group buy is better than that. Don't forget you get 10% off for being in the NSXCA. I already talked it over with the guy. So that's almost a thousand off right there.

If the new version of the company would give him better pricing, I am sure it would be. Show me a better number than the $8,500 he offered, and I will ask him to see what happens. So far the $8,415 from that one website is the only thing close, and I am sure he could match the $85 difference. I am curious what some of you would think a 'good deal' is?

I suppose part of the question is if this kit that's being offered is for a coupe or -T. There's a $1000 difference (retail) in the two, so it makes a big difference.

In fact, now that I think about it, this whole thread doesn't mention if any kit in question is for a coupe or -T. The prices I'm seeing, I'm assuming we're talking -T models, right?
