My '91 (with less than 91,000 miles) failed emission tests and my mechanic says I need to replace the catalytic converters. I don't want to spend a ton of money on OEM converters. Any recommendations out there on after-market brand cat converters that are reasonably priced? Thanks!
My '91 just failed emission test (had passed twice in the last 4 years). Mechanic replaced spark plugs and that didn't work. The Hydro carbons were still too high. That was after $400 of work. Now they are recommending replacing the coil packs. That going to cost $700 in parts PLUS labor...
Thanks guys! I don't know if this additional info helps, but even with the engine off the pressure gauge needle stays at "4". Don't know if this would help narrow the root cause to a sender problem or electrical short...
My oil pressure gauge needle in my '91 seems to be stuck in one position. As far as I know, the oil pressure indicator should vary with engine speed, etc. Anyone know what may be the likely culprit?
My '91 NSX ECU has a bad processor and cannot be remanufactured according to a reptutable RR company. I have been searching the internet to find a brand new or reman ECU and have had no luck! The part number (if I recall correctly) is 37820 PR 7 A03. Does anyone know if there's a substitute...
Re: 1992 Acura NSX "Virgin" ECU For Sale...
Shawn,
Do you still have the ECU? I have a '91 NSX. Would yours work in mine? Mine has a 37820 PR7 A03 p/n.
I guess it's technically not a cable but a groummet (sp?) containing the bundle of floor wirings. It runs right across the length of the ECU covering the lower 2 bolts. No, I can't slide it aside. There's no slack. I've read a couple of technical bulletins that include pictures of the...
Can anyone guide me to references to remove the ECU from my '91 NSX? I cannot access the bottom 2 bolts because they're blocked by the black cable. Also, are the connectors removed by simply pulling on them?
Gents,
Thanks for your replies. Nope, not turning it into a SUV. I totally agree with you about the car looking aggressive. But this is about everyday driving. It's no fun to having my front spoiler scrap the road if I'm driving up a slightly angled drive-way; or having the car bottoming...
I have a '91 with original 15/16 wheels. The car has been lowered by about 1 inch (sport springs). Question: What size wheels can I replace the originals with? Would 16/17 work?
I also want to raise its ground clearance by about an inch. Would putting larger tires with the 16/17 do the trick?
