MrEnvy - looks like some great working going on there. One Q: when you changed to a longitudinal layout, did you do anything regarding potential oil starvation issues?
I'm not sure (yet) of how the oil is picked up in the C30 engine, but a very knowledgeable member on the UK forum mentioned it...
Thanks guys - I appreciate the ideas and pointers. Seems our UK's NSXs have an ECU with immobiliser and that could/would make it tricky without going to AEM/etc.
My target car is a Lancia Stratos replica. 980kg (about 2000 pounds?)
It's a big old clamshell rear-end, so fitting should raise...
I have a plan to put an NSX engine ('96 DBW type) into a lighter car. But the chap I was hoping would do the work already has a long-term GT40 job that's turning out to be a nightmare. He is reluctant to take on another big project full of unknowns.
I then found another builder who asked an...
It's for sale again:

Currently have no choice. :(
The green targa lives outside (no garage here at all and no space for one) and the silver coupe is stored about 10miles away in a secure vehicle storage facility. Currently looking to buy/rent garage space for both closer to home...
Well, there's definitely something to that. If one of the sellers of these NSXs had got his act together and put them into the Silverstone Classic auction, they would doubtless have got plenty of good publicity and made very good money. (That's where a late facelift with low miles went for a...
Well, while there may be some scraps of paperwork with Senna's name on it in the history files, there are no "CoA"s for these sorts of cars. Senna's sudden death precluded any such would-be buyer comforts. Maybe you can get a notarised letter or similar.
I think the red one has significant...
Another Brooklands Green here (although in England it's called Charlotte Green). I also didn't like the colour at first, and have wondered about wrapping.
Just checked that and it looks good as a photo on a screen at least. Did you ever get around to taking photos to show the door shuts/etc...
And here's another ex-Senna NSX: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-NSX-driven-by-Senna-/181192150042?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a2fe4cc1a (black, NA1 in Portugal)
Aha. Not sure if we ever had Zanardis over here in England, so I was guessing.
But your car's red looks a deeper shade than regular Formula Red (perhaps a trick of the light?).
Whatever it is, it's gorgeous. :)
Will do this myself next weekend - my passenger side jets appear to be gunked up.
Any advice on a safe solvent to use to clean them out? Just soapy water - or something stronger?
Nice story. I guess the ex-F1 driver was test driver Fairuz Fauzy?
I can certainly beieve that a proper racer knows how to maintain momentum and a better car in the hands of an ordinary road driver would never keep up. But I also don't believe 370bhp. Or we'd all have it. :)
