I have '91 w/Less than 30k orig miles. Motor is stock except for H/E/I. Has short gears and 4.55 r/p. 7lb flywheel, snap ring fixed, 18/19's, vinnie skirts, '02 rear val, WW front spoiler,. Perfect cond in every way. Always garaged. 562-424-4542 --Richard J.
If you get a 5 speed (like I have) put the shrt gears and 4.55 in her and you'll have all of the "stirring the soup" you can handle. IMHO.
If you get a Boxster take her to Gembella: http://www.tuningnews.net/gallery/gemballa-boxter/pic.php?id=02

I too own a '99 Boxster (wife's) and a '91 NSX Coupe, (mine) with numerous mods. There is NO comparison. The NSX is a much finer sports car in all ways. The Boxster is "cute" and handles great considering it also rides nice. The NSX is a much more "hard-core" sports car. I could never enter...
I once was driving in my NSX... down the I-5 in sunny San Diego... and I looked over at the car next to me... I could only see myself in the windows reflection... I didn't wave.
"...." translates to "H" from Morse Code... if you think that's impressive... how 'bout this...
That plastic window thingy, was designed to: when removed... double as a spacer... when properly placed under your tires (while parked) decreases the wheel gap, which when decreased... reduces wind...
AMATO's always has their head up the arse when it comes to doing ANYTHING out of OEM. It's mainly because they only want insurance claims/money. Go see Dan Greenwald at Greenwalds Autobody (619) 429-7800... Not the easist locations but well worth the drive down to either National City or Chula...
The second best "feel it in the seat of your pants" mod for street use (next to a SC)... short gears, 4.55 ring/pinion & 7lb flywheel. Revs & Quickness thru the city streets was dramatically improved. Sound coming thru my Taitec headers / B&B exhaust sounds SO much better as the rpms drop very...
I installed one, left the car outside for a few days... came back and had a family of pigeons living in it when I returned. Felt horrible kicking them out to the cold street of San Diego! They're still homeless.. or should I say "scoopless."
NSXT.. thks for the input. To be specific... When my car is cold (well, as cold as it can get in San Diego in my garage). The car will rev up and right back down to idle VERY fast. I used to drag race high compression 13.5/1, 600HP small block chevys and you get a VERY quick rap in revs up...
PLEASE if you (anyone) finds the thread please post the link. I seem to have a simlilar issue. At cold start a get a VERY fast rap-up and back down in rpm's. VERY race car engine sounding, especially with my Taitec headers and B&B exhaust... Versus once the engine is warm... it's a bit slower.
The bottom line is ALL Chevy's are MASS produced vehicles, including the vette. There is a BIG difference in the care taken in building the NSX vs. the vette.
Let me relay a story. Recent while at the local (San Diego) Discount Tire store with my NSX, there was a very tricked out superfast...
Don't get discouraged by the "lack of interest" on Prime thus far. I just found this thread today 11/13/2004. I would be very interested in getting this puffer on my car. So PLEASE keep moving forward. I'm in San Diego, so if there's a chance to see your beast live, let me know. I keep...
