    Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

So, the rain didn't let up until too late to make it over to Bakers today. However, we did get our car fix once the weather broke and the sun dried the roads. I snapped some pics of today's plaything. In a word, TORQUE! Holy wide CF door sill, Batman! This is one fun car. Better...

I think we're going to go there or nearby for lunch and to see the metal in the parking lot :).

    Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Thanks! Thing is, I see a pretty severe lack of traction issue in every boosted NSX for some reason

    Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Hi all, Been a while since I posted on Prime. Many of you may remember me from an NSX drive or two and various get togethers locally - I used to drive a Stage 2 MB C32 AMG and also a 6-speed (E46 M3) BMW E30 I built. I live just a mile or two down the road from ekin95 & his dad. This YouTube...

    Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

SPOTTED! Saturday, 11/19/2011, 10:09AM Farmington Hills, MI SB Drake Road, South of 11 Mile I was NB at the Grand River light, and saw a red, looked-to-be 1997-2001 NSX (best guess - it had pop up headlamps and the 1997+ rims) round the corner almost half a mile away. My very first thought...

Hi all, For those of us in Southeast Michigan (Detroit metropolitan area), the area's Cars & Coffee events are well attended. I'd just love to see a strong NSX presence! This year's first meet of the season is on Saturday, April 2nd. The meets are at the same place as last year, at Kart 2 Kart...

Nissan GT-R VS. NSX size comparison

Apologies if this is a repeat, but I thought it would be fun to find a comparison of the new GT-R with the NSX in terms of size only. Take a look: http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/tech-gadget/pictures-nissan-gt-r-vs-honda-nsx-size-comparison EDIT: this has been posted already - see...

Mi area first meet and spirited drive of the season

Thanks everybody for allowing a lowly C-class in on your party. You're all a great bunch of non-snobby, true enthusiast owners and drivers. We had a blast running with you. Liz & Tim, we caught the tail end of that surprise Grand Am moment on video, but not the scary part, since we were a...

    4/22 NSX, Ferrari, Lambo run...PICS...

Wow! I really wish I could have come out to this, but starting the season off with two drives in two weekends is not how to keep a happy home  I sure hope that this weekend has similarly great weather and group of drivers/cars (maybe even more diverse)!

Mi area first meet and spirited drive of the season

Looks like a fun route - I know most of those roads from motorcycling. By the way, there's a fun higher-speed loop that my friends and I on fast bikes used to take. Look at this map and see the route coming out of Gregory southbound->Holmes Rd.->Doyle Rd (westbound)->Morton Rd->Brogan north...

My apologies, but no. I'm a new daddy and he's getting married in a couple of months, so getting together isn't easy. I say let's do the Hell, MI route. A stop in Chelsea is welcome to us, since we can come back by way of 52 to North Territorial Rd. eastbound - Map - (a nice drive)!

Mi area first meet and spirited drive of the season

I'll refrain from posting his name in the interest of respecting his privacy. He worked on the wiring for the car, electrical/harnesses/etc. He's moved on to GM to work on their alternative fuels program (hydrogen, I think). We share a strong love for the Ford GT, and considered purchasing one...

Mi area first meet and spirited drive of the season

If you guys don't mind some non-NSX company, I'm down for the 28th of April  Oh, I almost forgot: a friend of mine worked on the Ford GT program. When it was almost done, the team was allowed to take out a few of them on a company-sanctioned event around the nice roads SW of Ann Arbor...

ASCC "broken" leaving DET Auto Show?!

I was randomly picking HD content to record with my DVR, and came across a re-broadcast of the Tokyo Auto Show from 2003. Sure enough, when I played it back one of the first things they covered was the HSC! I gotta say, that was a beautiful automobile and of course an honest successor to the...

    Back in an NSX!

Thanks! I appreciate especially how you discouraged people from buying into the typical NSX vs. E46 M3 hype. I guess it's easy when you own both :)
