Former NSX owner - gone exotic

Nice cars, but I for one have always considered the NSX an exotic in every way except maintenance & driving vices. I own a Lotus Esprit also now, as well , and many consider it an exotic. It's uncomfortable seating position, high maintenance needs & spooky handling at the limit sure make it act...

Max tire width from front to the rear.

Now this is just a beautiful NSX you had to go & post (makes me really miss my MCB '97 CTSC) : I am surprised that those 315s fit so nicely in the rear too. Guess alot of it has to do with the offset. Anyways, nice car....

Any suggestions on Gold/Bronze wheels for 1997 Brooklands Green?

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually have a set of 3pc Avus wheels that were on my Monte Carlo Blue NSX that I sold : though the centers were painted MCB so would look really dorky on the green car. Cost to repaint/rebuild is near $800 so I'd rather just purchase the color I want in a lighter...

Are there any good Manual Trans sport sedans left?

That is a testament to what really was a great car. And I doubt anybody will ever find the RS4 dated... I still would prefer an RS4 even over the new RS5 coupe that is now out. But the thread is asking about MT sedans & I still think this is one of the few that are still fun to drive around.

    BAD neighbor

I agree. I shudder to think what damage the inspection is going to find. Good luck to you & I hope you sue them straight into the poor-house...

Are there any good Manual Trans sport sedans left?

I echo the RS4 sentiment though you are looking at several years old now as your only option. Not sure why you don't want to consider Infiniti/Nissan. I've owned G35 coupe (AT unfortunately), 2x EX35, FX45, 09 370z & currently an FX50S. The G35 coupe was okay stock, but I spent some $$ &...

Any suggestions on Gold/Bronze wheels for 1997 Brooklands Green?

I saw another post regarding wheels for a Sebring Silver & thought I'd see if anybody has suggestions of wheels in Gold or Bronze to put on a 1994 Brooklands Green? I normally have purchased my wheels for my other NSXs from TireRack, but lately they have almost no high-quality wheels for the NSX...

    Daily Driving the '92 NSX

I had to laugh at this comment. I am flying out to Tampa next week to pick up my 3rd NSX (Brooklands Green) & will drive to Phoenix for some SoS time, then onto Spokane. I wonder how many Florida cars end up on the West Coast & vice versa (I too miss my San Diego time, particularly when dodging...

    Dyno Day after RDX injectors!

What are your impressions on driveability? I'd suspect it feels like a more linear torque curve (at least based on your graphs) which is actually what makes it enjoyable to drive around town. I've ordered a set for myself so I'm pretty stoked to see how it compares to driveability of CTSC (which...

CTSC NSX Melbourne, FL VIN #JH4NA1156RT000243

Good eye, I too noticed it is now for sale out of TX : at least the Mercedes used-car manager was honest with me & he did exactly as he stated he would: he refused to sell from his dealership & it appears it was wholesaled. I also notice that nowhere on eBay did it make mention of any body work...

    Keeping doctors/NSX in NV

I see this too often, unfortunately. I am employed at government entity : pay is pretty bad (considering) though the benefits are what keep me here. I've been in practice since 2000 & have seen a pretty fundamental shift in the 'business of medicine' : even at our facility I routinely have to...

    Keeping doctors/NSX in NV

Hmmm, maybe I need to re-consider NV. Grew up in the PacNW, lived in southern US for 15yrs (Navy), came home for 4 seasons. Starting to miss the sun (Phoenix) though the home prices there are starting to go out of sight again. Maybe Las Vegas..... problem is, I work in Emer Dept & know only too...

    Dyno Day after RDX injectors!

Glad to see this posting, I am in process of purchasing the RDX upgrade myself. I had a CTSC before & am now going back into a stock NSX & I am not thrilled about losing the torque that the supercharger gave me waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy down low. But you were pulling rear-wheel TQ readings of...

Another NSX for sale - JH4NA2168XT000191

That is a beautiful car, though. Reminds me of my first NSX (2001 Silverstone) that I purchased with only 14k miles on it. That one only lasted 14 mos before I sold it for job change : biggest mistake ever... I wonder, though, with how prices on NA2 have been recently, if this one doesn't have a...

Group Buy Group Buy - Prospeed RDX injector& ROM tune kit

You can put me down for a set. I'll be only doing intake & exhaust, otherwise going to keep my newest member of my family otherwise stock. The idea of the extra torque is very appealing (my previous toy was a CTSC & I still cannot forget the torque of that monster - plus the amazing sound - it...

    Winter Driving Advice

Glad to see you made the jump to driving year-round with the M3. I am currently NSX-less myself (though my Brooklands Green/Tan '94 is on it's way) so I can't even say I've driven an NSX in the snow (though in high school I got around okay in a 1st-gen RX7 w/o LSD or traction-control for many...

Sub woofer install on an EPS "Power Stearing" car

Though I sold my Monte Carlo Blue CTSC (like an idiot), I came up with a great solution that Acura of Lynnwood implemented in fine fashion on my car. I had them mount the EPS 'brain' underneath the glovebox (it had previously been mounted in the glovebox). They ran bolts up into the floor of the...

CTSC NSX Melbourne, FL VIN #JH4NA1156RT000243

Hi all, After ownership of 2 NSX previously (2001 unmodified & CTSC 1997 Monte Carlo Blue that I should've never sold), I had been looking at possibly getting back into the Acura world. I was prepared to purchase 1994 Black NSX from Mercedes Benz in Melbourne, Florida. VIN #JH4NA1156RT000243...

    1997 NSX-T CTSC Monte Carlo Blue/Tan JH4NA2168VT000088

I've had several emails regarding my car so thought I'd reply. Am again considering selling: I rarely drive the car anymore - have put 1200mi on it since last posted. Summer is winding down & I'm already preparing to put it into storage, which really is not how this beautiful car is meant to...

    A big thank you

That says a ton about what a great guy Paul is. It also says alot about you in taking the time to recognize him on the forums. It is heartening to see that there are still some decent people out there who help out their fellows. Kudos to you both

HVAC not shutting off : draining battery

Not familiar with that entity. I've had good luck with Charles at Acura of Lynnwood. I'll try a search on Umbrelladesign though just for grins

HVAC not shutting off : draining battery

I'll give this a try since the fuse box is so easily accessible underhood (alot harder to reach inside the car). I may just give up & let the dealer dig in though that can get quite pricey...
