I found a 98' NSX with 62K miles.
It was originally on E-bay and didn't sell (what a shock).
The guys wants $38.5 delivered to the door.

Can anyone tell me is that a good price for that milage ???

Also, How can I find out if it was retitled from a salvage. I know Fla. cars and E-bay cars tend to be problems.

Thanks,

gijoe

There are a lot of us down here in Florida that can help you, but we need some more information.

Where in Florida is the car located?

Is is for sale by a dealer?

What is the VIN?

I believe West Palm.

Lion Motors, supposedly a wholesaler.

I will have the VIN on tonight.
I am at work right now.

It seems to good to be true......and you know what they say...

Without knowing the condition of the car, the color, etc., if it was relatively well maintained or even average, but not in pristine condition, it is about $8,000 lower than fair market value. So I would be very cautious.

Just a few days ago a 98-T black/tan was listed on NSXPrime for $53K and was sold within days.

98-T Black/Tan .... one of the other 5 made.

Re: Re: 98' NSX in FLA. HELP !!!!!!!!!!

Leaving aside any unknown "issues" regarding this car, it's just very hard to estimate market value for a car that has substantially higher mileage than most cars of its vintage, because there just aren't that many cars with mileage that high. (Average mileage on an NSX is ~5K/year.)

But probably had nowhere near 62K miles.

I think you are looking at jh4na1262wt000016--this is an
automatic car fax is clean and it apperars it was always a florida
car. I was going to go see the car a while back but my
trip is postponed. car was in ft meyers-image cars--dan lussier.

I recently saw a nice/not pristine/ 98 get wholesaled at 32k

there is another 97 automatic that was recently on ebay-it
can be bought for under 40--it has 31k miles

two dealers have had 91's on their lots for at least 6-8 months.
It is definitely a buyers market for NSX cars. Look at the ebay
prices being offered---and keep in mind IMO that half the
bids are probably shill bids. Follow this logic--two similar cars in similar locales-same year and colors--yet the bidders are 100%
different.

Anyone trading in an NSX is not getting wholesale book for the
cars.Same for most of the other high end cars.

Well-maintained early NSX coupes are attracting prices as high as they have in the past 5-6 years. Prices on the '97+ cars are going down... just as they are for any car as it gets older.

eBay, which entails substantial risks for the buyer, is not a good gauge of NSX prices. Neither are greedy dealers whose cars don't sell.

Isn't it funny how one '98 can sell for $53K and another for $32K? Remember Lud's advice - that every car he had seen selling for below market price was done for a very good reason...

In most cases I would agree with Luds view. imo 32 is artifically
low and 53 is high-but it only takes one person to take a real liking to a particular car and pay over FMV.

How would you like to be the people who paid 5-10k over
sticker for the new tbirds 18 months ago? or 3-4k over for
a 350z.

Hope you got my message

The galves book GALVES.COM is not available for FREE on
line like NADA or KELLY. I got mine which is the jan17,2003
book from a friend. It shoes an NSX T at $45,000 with a $450
per thousand mile DEDUCT over 38,000 miles. Low mileage
ADD is $225 per thousand miles under 38,000 miles

therefore at 61k miles which is 23,000 over the 38,000 norm
you would deduct 450/1000 or $10350.

Your $38,000 appears to be a very Equitable deal for both
parties-as the dealer is entitled to WET HIS BEEK a little but
not too much!

At the auctions-the dealers will sell and or buy very close to
GALVES.

I live in broward and would be willing to take a look at the NSX. If the seller is willing to, I could have Neil Miller @ Rick Case take a look at it (certified NSX tech...told me the other day to bring any NSX to him and he'll let ya know if its fair or not)...so if you want, email me at [email protected] or call my cell 954 868 3744 and just mention you wanted to buy the X in WPB.
