I'm wondering if there are any nsx owners who are martial artists in here...
do share.

I've been training in BJJ for a little over 4 years (off and on), and Muay Thai for a little over a year...

12+years in Taekwondo

1 year of Kaji Kempo (efficient street fighting style mixure of ground and quick efficient strikes, focusing on more go rather than show).

I am into sparring and acrobatic that challenge pure athletic ability.

Used to be my only hobby and everything I care for, partial reason why neglected school, didn't matter what family said. Ironically now that I am back in school, I been training again after my classes as a way to relief stress. I already forgot that I even own a NSX. I am amazed by the talents we got at CAMA in UCI.

Been same exact shape for 15 years. Splits, triple kick in air in 3 different directions, 720, backflip, areos with no hands, still got it, I guess something you don't lose, if you are well disciplined to willing to work hard and live in fit life style. Many local NSXers have asked me what is the secret. The answer is simple, everyone want easily way out. The secret is work your ass off.

This is the studio I use at UCI:

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4th degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. Three time national champ. I have been taking since I was 7, and now I am 23. I also taught 4 classes twice a week for over 8 years. I love it.

oooh a butterfly-twist

looks like we have quite a few different fellow martial artists here.
thats awesome.

well just for the record,
i'm wingchun & muaythai.

My parents made me take Judo when I was a kid, I hated it. Much later I really got into kick/thai boxing. I'd love to get back into it, but now that martial arts have become so popular, everyone is charging an arm and a leg, and every place I check out for kick boxing is doing 'cardio' kick boxing. Love that wooden dummy :).

did taekwondo for about 2-3 years when i was a kid. and more recently kendo for about 3-4 years....

but this is what i've been mastering...

At age 6 started Wing Chun/Gunfu, continued to karate age 10, age 15 taekwandoo/kickboxing age18 arnese and filipino martial arts. Next 15 years Influenced by Jeet Kun DO philosphy using no way as way. So i dropped what i felt was waste of energy and focused on my weaknesses and trained every inch of my body. I maintain 6-7% body fat composition most of the year run 4-5 miles 5 days a week and gym 3days a week.

It has been the way I express myself and a habitual progressive way of life that I find ways to better myself and help others.

I don't know where I would be today had I not gotten into fights and used Martial Arts/philosphy to keep me going.

lol.... he can't teach, but he looks like he can kick some ass
he's got that element of crazy.... that would help in a street fight too

started when I was 5.5 yrs. FAther was an instructor in Germany and progressed in the States in advance training , he went back to Korea under Jhoon Rhee Taekwondo to recertify as a 8 degree. I stopped 3 yrs ago 21.5 years of Taekwondo, and 5 years of wushu in the mix. took gymnastics for a couple of years till I broke my wrist. Father didnt let off, so my training isn't the watered down pay for your belt, it was the traditional style where I had to earn it. The end resulted as a 5th degree rank. All the kicks and acrobatics never lost it, like riding a bike. Only issue since my back injury is the damn 720 aerials. No more of them for me.

Good to see many who practice and NSX owners in the mix.

It's purported that in Cali. if you have any sorta martial arts training and you implement it in a fight other than self defense it's upgraded from a Mis. to a felony.

Also, you can't punch someone that wears glasses. SO make sure to check their drivers license prior to a fight.

Bottom line: call the cops, don't get involved because the loser goes to the ER/morge and the winner spends $$$ defending his ass from a bigger man (like cars, there's always something/someone out there that is superior).

Well I started out taking Tae Kwon Do for about 11 years. I then taught it for another 2 years. When I was teaching TKD I realized that it is pretty useless in today's society as an effective means of self defense. So, I started to take Muay Tai for about a year and half until the school closed. Then I trained in Kenpo, and I realized that it was not for me either.

Thus alas, I am now in MMA. Our school consists or mainly Muay Tai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Israli hand combat. I am convinced that the only true way to go in this world, as far as self defense is concerned, is either MMA, Muay Tai, or actual boxing.

We get all kinds of new students who have "black" belts in other arts like TKD and Kempo. When they hit ring, they are either tapping out or get knocked down by MMA students who have only been taking for 4 months.

However, I love all form of Martial Arts. I am not making fun of any one. I just feel that MMA is the way to go now a days.

Jason....lets see some more videos bro. I love watching acrobatic martial arts. Especially when people are throwing corks while hold weapons.

4 years of kick/shoot-boxing 10yrs ago. Ever since then, took up the art of smoking, eating fat foods, and meditation on the couch 1 hour per day during Simpsons :) I feel I have become a master of thyself on the last 10yrs of training. DOH! Lucky I don't drink alcohol..or I might be putting my health at risk:):):)
