I ended up getting a used USA Spec adaptor with the RCA audio inputs but the audio input isn't working. The ipod plug does work. I have no manual but I see two really small switches inset on the side of this thing. Do I need to switch either one of them to get the aux RCA input to work?

You do have to set the switches to activate the RCA input.
