Cars & Croissants (Northern NJ) 2015 Schedule

9/26 update: Its on as described below. This is an "old wealth" area with large multi-acre estates. Its a great scenic ride through the surrounding neighborhood.
Here's the announcement on the C&C meet this Sunday, Sept 27. If there is a change announced on Friday, I'll post that.
For this Sunday's C&C, we are going to a new location thanks to one of our long standing members. Please keep an eye on your email on Friday in case there is a change of location or day.

Some special notes about this location:
•Please stay on the paved road when you enter the grounds; arrows will indicate when to turn and where to park.
•The fields are grass and please make every a effort to not disturb the grass.
•The road is narrow and you will be entering and leaving on the same road.
•The nuns frequently walk the roads dressed in black: many requiring hearing aids.
•Absolutely no speeding or loud revving on the premises. Generally, keep the speed and noise down.
You will driving thru Bernardsville/Mendham to get to this location. We ask you to respect our hosts and neighbors and be on your BEST behavior and avoid the temptation to rev your engine and peel out. We have a zero tolerance policy in this regard. If you do it, you will be asked not to return.

A few updates:
1. One of the parking lots for the farm will be designated for C&C only. There will be a separate entrance for us and we will be located in an area away from the rest of the visitors.
2. One of our members walked the field this morning and described it is "hard as a rock."
3. If a few of you would like to help tomorrow morning, we would welcome some volunteers around 7:30-8:00AM to help direct the C&C crowd to the right parking area! Just show up early if you can help.

For this weekend’s C&C, we are changing the day to Sunday, Oct 11 so we can visit a new location: Donaldson Farms in Hacketstown. If your family has have not made their fall activity trip (apple/pumpkin picking, corn mazes, etc.), this C&C would be a good one to attend as the farm offers all those activities and more.
Please keep an eye on your email on Friday in case there is a change of location or day.

For the upcoming meet on Sunday, we are returning to Daytop in Mendham NJ. The weather forecast currently does call for rain Sunday so please keep an eye on your email over the next two days to make sure you know about any changes!

C&C meet details for Saturday, Nov 21
All,
We will have a meet this Saturday November 21. This a change from the original schedule due to the weather forecast, facility availability and because we try to alternate Saturdays and Sundays and have had a lot of Sunday meets (trying to be fair to people who have fixed ongoing conflicts on either day to give them an opportunity to come to at least one meet a month).

Hacklebarney State Park

Long Valley, NJ 07853
Do not use GPS to get there. It may take you on gravel or extremely potholed roads. Take Route 206 from the North or South to Old Route 24 (Main Street in Chester, NJ). Turn west at the traffic light to get on to Old Route 24. After 1.4 miles, make a sharp left on to State Park Road. Go 1.9 miles. Turn right to stay on State Park Road. Go 0.2 miles. Turn left into the park. When you get to the parking lot, go to the extreme left side of the lot. Go into the park entrance at an angle and slow if you have an extremely low front air dam (like Kirk does on his GT3RS -- if he can make it in, you can!).
There are public restrooms there but no food or drink, so please bring your own if you like.
Time: 8:30 to 11 am.
Please -- as always, no burnouts or loud revving.
ALSO, A HEAD'S UP THAT, DUE TO REQUESTS, WE MAY DO AN UNSCHEDULED MEET ON SUNDAY 11/29 (THANKSGIVING WEEKEND). Many people have family in town that weekend and like to share C&C with them. We will let you know later next week, but it is likely we will do so. As always, if we do a meet and when we do one, is weather dependent.
