Custom 1992 NSX on ebay- Ferrari-esque replica

That took a lot of work no doubt and is very striking.

Looks very fragile with a one piece body. Super wide rocker panels, which make access difficult.

And the stock doors made into sissor doors is a no go. Sissor doors are EXTREMELY difficult to do properly and this is not it.

And if you get into a front end collision, the emblem stuck onto the airbag is going be a nice projectile right into your face.

It does have an up-side to ownership in that you don't have to be concerned about the reduced availability of replacement body parts because you go into this knowing there are none. The price of exclusivity.

The up-side for the rest of us proles is that there is one less NSX in existence which marginally increases the exclusivity (and maybe the value) of the remaining original NSXs in existence.

...on the other side.. in the world of kit cars( there is a big community) having your donor car the nsx rather than the fiero/mr2/del sol/ect.. kinda does make you a Ferrari owner:biggrin:

If having a Ferrari is what counts you could have a true 348, F355 or 360 for less than the asking price for that car plus you would get to enjoy the complete Ferrari ownership experience of getting to deal with all the maintenance issues. For a true root canal ownership experience you could almost purchase a Testarossa for that price (my, they have gone up in price). Then at least you would not be a pretender.

true but then you just left the Kit car universe....or did you?

It is a NSX with a fancy body kit. The car was probably damaged and this was a DIY around purchasing expensive body panels; great execution.

If he had managed to build in genuine sissor doors: that would be impressive indeed and might justify the price. With the faux lambo door hinges It would be a neat car at maybe $30K, just maybe.

The long front overhang is just begging to get cracked up in real world driving....it won't stand the test of time, it's a show piece and not much else.

As Old Guy pointed out an F360 is a genuine Ferrari that is better and not only costs less it will be cheaper to maintain (overall) than this particular NSX. This NSX is going to be in the body shop constantly to keep its condition.

Yeah, doesn't do much for me. If you want a Ferrari, there are plenty of Ferraris available under $100k. But to each their own...

seems there's no shortage of wanna be car designers with little to no awareness of form and proportions out there. not knockin' the guy for living his dream but totally knocking him for being tasteless and then thinking someone else wants to pay for his pet art project. you never know though - all you need is another tasteless buyer with some tsla money! reminds me of those terribly proportioned fiero f40 kit cars, except this one is too scared to even try looking like a laferrari but still wants to try a little bit.

never forget:
