I had an idea to use a mesh like this in some of my bodywork.

Does anybody know what this is called and where to get it?

Perforated metal grate. Every place that I've been able to find it requires a huge order because they cater to the industrial/manufacturing sector.

The reason I asked is because I'm looking for alternatives to go behind the openings under my hood ducts and the openings in my front bumper. I think the typical chicken wire mesh stuff looks very tacky.

Not to mention it keeps debri and leaves out. I was thinking of doing this under front bumper where the fog lights would sit.

I've seen a lot of debris down in the rear engine valley, that falls down from the vent between the hatch and trunk. I suspect more than one fire has been started from leaves and paper getting down in there, drying out and starting on fire. The debris is very hard to find unless you are really looking for it.
