I was thinking about simplifying the front end looks by covering the nose intake cross bar with a mat black 'stone chip protecting' film. Anyone tried this? Anyone have a better way to do this?

I found a place called "Scrap Vinyl" that says they have a flat vinyl that will do the trick. $25 though. I'm thinking of trying it. http://www.scrapvinyl.com/contact.htm

A friend of mine did cut this plastic part and put an aluminium mesh in it. It looks very good, we'll take photos this weekend and I'll post them.
