Highest factory redline

Isn't the Mazda RX-7 in the 9's somewhere.

Internal improvements to the Renesis increased the redline over that of any production Rotary engine before it.

Putting Renesis internal components (lighter eccentric shaft, better rotor bearings, etc) into RX-7 motors is common.

The highest redline on any RX7 (AFAIK) was on the 89-91 Naturally Aspirated 2nd Generation FC3S and it hit fuel cut somewhere before 8700.

However hardcore racing NA rotary motors commonly go over 10k all day

I have never really paid attention to a rotary's exhaust sound. How is it at 9K?
