Well after much talk over the years we now have a National Honda Sports Car Club!

This is the invite sent out to all existing NSX owners in Australia we know about. If you own an “Eligible” car we would love to hear from you. We will be putting another post up on Prime regarding the First National Run in December, stay tuned…

Dear Honda Enthusiast,

We believe you are the owner of a Honda Sports Car and thought you may be interested in joining the Honda Sports Car Club of Australia (HSCCA).

The new Australia wide Honda Sports Car Club has been formed out of the NSW based club, the most successful of the state clubs started in 2000 by Honda Australia. These clubs were setup to celebrate Honda's sports car technology in a fun and active environment.

The new national Club has the support of Honda Australia and they have already provided some real benefits, including providing us 2 CRV's to use as support vehicles for a Tasmanian Targa trip.
We feel with the New NSX and other Honda Sports models coming, that support will continue to grow.

Last year we organised a run to drive the Tassy Targa route which was attended by NSX and S2000 drivers from all over Australia and International guests from USA, UK and Japan. We were very privileged to have Shigera Uehara, the project leader for development of the NSX, S2000 and Integra Type R join us for the event and drive some of our cars.

The Club is currently planning various events on a State level and also National Events. A National event will be in December this year and take in the SA wine regions and some of the Targa roads. We are also thinking a trip to the Bathurst 12 hour next year which might be a bit of fun! The Club is CAMS affiliated which covers you for social run insurance and all the usual CAMS coverage if competing.

Full membership is open to Honda sports car owners, including S2000, NSX, Integra Type R & S, Civic Type R and earlier examples such as S600 & S800.

So if you are interested in joining please fill in the attached form and send in to your Chapter Chairman, or mail to: Honda Sports Car Club of Australia, PO Box 557, Jannali, NSW 2226. If you are from a state without a chapter at the moment we can start one but in the meantime please send your form to the NSW Chairman Malcolm.

The Chapter Chairman are

South Australia: Scott [email protected]

Fees are- $50 membership fee and $25 application fee payable to the Clubs Acc (detail on form).

Well Iain,

That makes 3 SA to 1 VIC in this post alone that are HSCCA members the odds are in our favour so far would love to see it go the other way...good luck.

Great response so far! Have had 2 new members join up this arvo already.

I will get some dates and info out tommorrow for the first HSCCA National run, its going to be in Dec with 6 days in SA wine country, Coonawarra, Barossa and McLaren Vale. We will travel some of the Targa Stages as well as some great local roads, along with a few nice restaurants and wineries.

Welcome to the first of many from the West! You guys have some seriously nice cars over there. We know of at least 10 NSXs in WA and I am sure there is some more hidden away.
