McDork’s 1998 Coupe JH4NA2131WT000070 listed as “Zanardi Prototype” in the wiki

Man the paint looks incredible! My father has been a car painter and custom hot rod painter his whole life. He can do pretty much anything with paint. It is an art I cannot do...

I'm with Jinks, if my given name was the same as yours I would make everybody call me that.:)

Yes I agree with curtsr. If my last name was Mc Cool, I would rock that sh@t. But its just Jenkins so I rock the term "Jinks" my childhood nickname. Or also "Ash"...

simply a beautiful restoration! wish my paint work was at this caliber

Thanks for the compliment.

I knew when I entered the witness protection program that McCool wasn't a good idea. Heck, now that I'm outed, on the net, I might as well join facebook.
Hopefully, I can finish this thread someday.

Yeah sorry Chris, but your name was to McCool to let go. But don't worry, I grew up with the Don's son in Jersey and he owes me a favor.

Picked the car up a few weeks ago, but haven't really started to dedicate much time to it. However, last week I made some progress cleaning up and painting a few items. Also, I took my exhaust manifolds off for ceramic coating and I'm having the valve covers redone. Might as well prior to the installation of the engine.

A few pics with the 94 I sold recently.

ALso, had some projects to take care of on the Jag so it's ready for the PVGP.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the paintwork on this car.

Making a mess painting parts last weekend. I have way too much time in this gas tank, but it's really nice. haha

I love the E Type !! Is it is a 3.8 or 4.2 ? I sold a S 1.5 roadster last year. It seemed like too much work. I still think the E Type is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

About time the buyer of the 94 finally picked it up! LOL.

Thanks the E-Type is a great car. Mine is a 4.2 and surprisingly pretty quick. Funny I sold a sweet series 1.5 last year.
Talk about too much work...........

Haha yeah it took a bit. However it was not a problem.
I guess you'll officially be in the club next week. Congrats! I hope you enjoy the heck out of that car.

So I'm getting my act together.

Installed mirrors and side vents this week.
I'm in the process of doing the abs upgrade. Then I'm planning to get the headlights installed and adjusted.
Then front suspension install, followed by the engine.

I removed the old abs pump last night and today I cleaned the front bay. It was a complete mess.

Also picked up some parts from the powder coater.

Before

After

Had a bit of a freak out in the middle of the abs upgrade.........finally couldn't take it working in such an unorganized fashion in the garage.
One thing led to another and I did a massive garage re-org that's been long overdue. A big THANKS to my father for helping me thrash to get it done before my new arrival.

We built some collapsible work benches, I bought a few tool boxes, and we installed another lift.

Finally started to get back to work on the car. I buttoned up most of the abs upgrade prior to installing the front suspension.

I had previously installed the gas tank so I wouldn't scratch it moving it around.

Started to fit the head lights, but need to get the bumper for final adjustment.

Next up is the engine and rear suspension and get it to the roller stage.

Chris, this is pornographic....

This is beautiful. Looks like a brand new car. I'm jealous :D.

Thanks I appreciate the compliment, but you have no need to be jealous in the least. Your car / build is unbelievably cool. Not to mention that your car is imho one of the best colors for an nsx!

I'm finding that this car has been apart for too long and that I don't have the same kind of motivation to get it done, as I normally do with projects. Maybe it's because I pushed my completion deadline to next spring. However, I can tell you that the kind words certainly give me a boost. So, thanks to all that enjoy my madness. Even if you just think I'm nuts (I am) at least it's a few pictures that you can shake youy head at.

Oh and on another note I'm working with Sherman-Williams on a new custom color. "McWashi Cool Gray". Their first try is almost dead on, but I think it's just ever so slightly too light. However, the flake and bronzish hue are dead on.
I'll share the code once it's fully developed.

Please open an nsx restoration shop!

Took a few days off of work and made some good progress before my father leaves town. He has been a huge help this summer and we've had a lot good times in the garage.
Bumpers have been assembled and installed. Re-checked the valves, installed all the new coolant hoses, and installed the engine.

Mother of god... People like you make me sick to my stomach.

I say this out of pure envy. Please carry on doing the lord's work.
