Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Had to bring it out in the sun today for the first time since Marc and Jacob of Autolavish did their 13 hour thing! The color, depth, clarity and finish are nothing like I have ever seen before. It looks like you are looking into a blue tinted mirror. Marc, you and Jacob do amazing work. Marc anytime after tomorrow you want to set up a shoot w/ your guy LMK anytime. Just snapped a few pics before back in the garage it goes ready for its new clear bra tomorrow, Honda badge is a little off as it was just placed there temporarily until tomorrow.

Sorry for the multiple pics but I wanted to give Autolavish props and this is the best any of the local NSX'ers will see of the car this year, no car meets/shows for us anymore, family beckons first so we are out.

Lookin good Tim! Can't believe there was even that much detailing to do on such a clean car.

I had a blast today. Great to see Neal and Scott as always, what a way to kick off the season. A very fun extremely *ahem* spirited drive down to Toledo and some really nice cars and people there.

We had a great time out at Waterford Hills this weekend, sure looks like you guys had some fun as well
Thanks for the pictures, but how is it that there are none of Ryan's SC installation (or is this a hint that I post too many garage / project pix on here) ???
Oh and Jeff, there have been some tasty exhaust parts being advertized on Prime lately

Brian

.....well. I guess the cat is pretty much out of the bag........

....more details later.... :)

Nice pics guys! What a glorious day for everybody - us included out at Waterford.

Can't wait to see your SC in person Ryan. Was Bree able to be with you at either venue?

Judi

I only made it for the Toledo meet, would have loved to hit Bakers too, but had yard duties at home. Toledo was a little too early for Bree.
Waitin to see your pics Neal!

Sorry Ryan, my laptop keeps locking up so I've not been able to transfer images from my camera yet. Will try again tomorrow.

Bakers was fun but not particularly well-attended.

I got "the beater Z32" washed and detailed this evening - first thorough cleaning in years (was in storage for ~ 4 years).

Hey guys who has the red NA1 with chrome factory wheels? Saw one on Maple near coolidge this past Saturday. Very clean and very nice.

Ryan, having seen the pic of your s/c I'm feeling so slow. Not sure how I am going to keep up with you this season.

Jeff

Ryan, don't worry......no FI for me at this point.....been spending all my money on my 7 year old! I had a bit of work done on the car over the winter but nothing major (HID kit among other things) and expect to upgrade to NA2 headers, cats and different muffler (maybe OEM 2002+ assuming my contact can source one) or something that makes a bit more noise (hi Brian ). I'm also going to replace the harmonic balancer and install Titanium Dave's timing belt cover/case shield as a precaution even though the car has pretty low mileage. My "team" has been working on some interior squeak/rattle elimination and they tell me that they have made significant progress. I expect to have the car back this weekend. Hi to Bree.

Best,
Jeff

Two FOC drives being cancelled due to weather (sad), means more time in the garage working on stuff.
The LoveFab NSX barked to life once again today, if only on the jackstands.
I have the new rear zinc-plated slotted rotors and pads installed, plus the now single large front intercooler heat exchanger re-plumbed and leak tested, so this is good.
The freshly powdercoated (satin black) RPF-1's should be done any day now, so the list of things to get ready for the Eyes on Design show (Sunday, June 19th) is systematically getting clicked off.

Looks like they are planning on this Saturday now with rain date for Sunday. Gonna try to make it. The delays have also giving me more time for other items....hopefully will be meeting with the tuner again this week for some more work.
So the beast is going to be in the Eyes on Design show? Way to represent!
Sounds like it should be lookin good this year with repainted bumpers and black wheels.....even more evil!

We're previously engaged next Saturday, but Sunday could work.........
I'm looking forward to seeing your boosted car now, it was just a matter of time
Who knew that the Eyes on Design show would have a Japanese 'tuner' section this year, I think it's safe to say we'll garner some attention with the purple boostmonster.....especially with the trunk open

Good experience at Suburban Acura, Farmington Hills, MI, last Thursday. Imola went in for changes of brake and clutch fluids + an overall inspection. At 29,4XX miles front brake pads still better than 50%. No issues. Mike Mihalik (only) was requested, and got to meet with him before, during, and after servicing. He's "The Man" !

Neal, Mike is not just "The Man" -- he is "The Only Man" in our neck of the woods that should lay hands on the NSX! Glad to hear your baby is in such great shape. Funny, my car is 10 years older than yours and has almost exactly the same mileage -- I think it would have been better for the car if the prior owner had driver it a bit more! If not raining Sunday afternoon I'll try and squeak in a run over to Bakers -- anyone else?

Yes, Mike is indeed The Man

Neal, cool that you're now ready to hit the track!
Jeff, yes........we're planning on Baker's on Sunday as well.

Brian

I kept good company this weekend

Nice! Hey did you like the new Grattan set up? Haven't been out there since it was redone.

Perry, that sure looks like GingerMan, which of course does have a new layout this year

OK Neal, more details please on your Ferrari Club track days!
