Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Judi/Ryan and any others who are going to try and get over to Bakers this Sunday -- what time approx do you intend to be there? Ryan, happy to help on the get-together and we can talk off line about this.

Best,
Jeff

Looking at the 3rd annual Crazy Curtis pdf flyer, it runs noon until 5 PM Sunday. So I'm thinking Bakers of Milford +/- 4-430 PM depending on how cool Crazy Curtis is plus what shows up there.
Weather looks splendid

Heading to Ann Arbor here in a bit for the Rolling Sculpture Car Show. I'll take some amateur photos.

Impressive car show - Rolling Sculpture Car Show downtown Ann Arbor, MI, Friday 7-9-10. Lots, and I mean lots  of super scenery!

^^^ Nice rolling sculpture pix!

Jeff, I think Neal's assessment sounds right about the timing on the 2 Sunday shows.
Meet us at CC then you can drive our red car to Baker's for an exhaust evaluation

Brian

Nice pics Neal!!! See you in the morning for a nice little run to Toledo! Anyone else????

Neal, I wish I had gone to Ann Arbor -- looks like lots of nice cars were on display! Thx for posting the pics. Brian, it turns out that my Dad is coming to town on Sunday so my time is going to be somewhat limited. I'll be at Bakers around 4-4:15 for about 1 hour. See you all then!

Jeff

I'm sorry I didn't make it out to AA either, looks like it was a good time.
Good to see you guys this morning Neal at Motorcity! Looking forward to tomorrow.

If I can get out, I'll see you all there. Neal, Ask Cindy about the little asian kids and the NSX, yeah, she schooled my boys.

Was great to have fun with the boys and girls at the AA rolling sculptures.
All the fans were really nice, especially fun to see how excited the kids are about being close to the cars.
Hope to see you tomorrow!

Dear NSX Friends:

Ryan, Neal, Brian, Judi and I have been talking about trying to set up a get-together to which all of our MI NSX brothers and sisters (and families) will be welcome. Ryan and I will try and spearhead this endeavor. Given that so many of us have vacation and other plans on the weekends in the summer our collective thinking is that after Labor Day might work best for all. Before setting the date I would like to get an approximate head count of folks that are interested and some "blackout dates" that don't work for those interested. Feel free to reply on the board as opposed to via PM so we are all in the loop. Yesterday when I saw Ryan, Neal, Judi and Brian we talked about possibly doing something by way of picnic at Kensington Metro Park -- perhaps a Sunday early afternoon for lunch followed by a convoy drive. I'm thinking we cater this event so no one has to work too hard! I'm not sure when the Sunday afternoon festivities at Bakers end (sorry Neal, you were good enough to give me the list but I don't have ready access to it this moment) but if that's still an option on the date we pick perhaps we could end our drive over at Bakers for a bit. It would be nice to have lots of NSX over at Bakers once this season. I'm thinking either Sunday September 19th or 26th. Looking forward to hearing from all of you.

Best regards,
Jeff

PS -- Brian/Judi, thanks for the opportunity to drive your /92 on Sunday. This was very helpful insofar as my exhaust research is concerned. I'd love for you guys to take my /94 for a day -- would like to get your impressions on some of the little issues I've mentioned to you. Will call or PM you guys to set that up, thx.

Jeff,
I hate to say, but Sept. might be a really iffy month for me. I'll have to check with the official scheduale keeper, but I think we'll be out of town most weekends. Weddings, vacation and other stuff.
I'll post up when I know for sure though. Other than that, you know I am down for a big get together. We got 5 together pretty easily last weekend, which it was great to see everyone and thanks again for the Est Fest shirts!
I'll surely try to hit that Curtis show again next year, that was a good one.
Sorry I didn't make it to Bakers, this buying a house stuff can really take up some time!

OMG I just caught that we have another LBBP:eek: So four LBBP 3 autos and one stick ( ). Two are blue/blue and two are blue/black. If we ( and I do ) count Jorligan that's five blue NSX in Michigan right?

To all you ultra conservatives I guess that means were not a red state after all ..lol j/k

Heres the new NSX at about 430WHP on the stock 150k mile motor. Toyo R888's, KW V3's, 4 wheel StopTech's, LoveFab Stage 2 turbo with oil cooler. The car ran 1:45's on the new configuration Saturday morning, though it definitely ran faster than that later on in the weekend.

A 500WHP 911 Turbo with Hoosiers couldn't keep the NSX at bay. :)

I didn't hear that Gingerman is F/S. I hope the same atmosphere can be kept if somebody purchases the property!!!

Excellent!

We need one of those smaller LoveFab stickers you have on the sides of that car for the purple boostmonster ;^D

Damn Cody, that looks like fun! Loving the new setup, that front splitter is nuts...I'm sure the aero advantage of the lens covers is helping those laptimes too...

Love that 2nd pic too....I'm sure the guy in the RSX messed his pants when he saw you coming up on him......sideways.

Cody ran me over a couple of times, I felt like a cone. Great fun, and great sounds.

Any Woodward Cruise plans?

We actually had the opportunity to get the LoveFab car on track Sunday, for some lunchtime 'touring' (no passing) laps.
In fact, there were 3 local NSX's in that session.............that might be a record for Waterford Hills
There were few real chances to open the car up, but spinning the tires all the way to hilltop was quite fun

That has to be a lot of fun in that beast! I haven't even driven mine in almost 2 weeks since the PDC car show here at work. Been too busy working on the new house. The NSX is resting nicely though in its new home. Its nice to be actually able to walk around the car in the garage rather than being barely able to wedge it in like the old garage.....

Anyone interested in getting together on Sunday?

Yes, we were actually thinking about hitting Baker's at around 2pm.............unless you have a better idea
