My coverage from the 2012 Eibach meet

This year Eibach was at the Irwindale Speedway due to the sheer size of the previous meets. It has historically been held at the Eibach HQ, but the event has exceeded the capacity of the parkinglot. It was great, a lot of car diversity, and a lot of cool people. I actually ended up randomly meeting another 5th Gen Prelude owner (I brought the Prelude), and him and a couple of his friends ended up hanging out at my canopy for the day.

These guys drove down from Washington (18 hr drive) to attend the meet. I instantly spotted the guy on the right (ITR owner) due to his 'California tan' :)

Rays Speed Choppy wheels. Anyone know what the ring is for? Styling? The owner didn't know, and said they are fairly brittle, which is why the wheels are so rare.

Funny story, so at the end of the day, the owner of this car and his friend found me and gushed to me over my build for 30 minutes. They are super in love with my car and were extremely excited to see it in person. It was the first time I've been fanboyed on, and it was pretty awesome :) The owner jocked my wheel setup down to my lugs and center caps (well, my old setup at least). Flattered! They were really cool guys, and I was really glad to meet them.

Really fun day, I was glad I ended up bringing my EZUP because it's really nice to have a place to go to and sit. It's funny because I actually had forgotten about it and found it in the trunk of the Prelude the night I was prepping it. It was still in there since the last time I went to Buttonwillow

I swear your name is familiar from PO ... anyway, where was the meet at? Are the rims on the black CR-Z GN+ in Bronze? I love the look of those wheels.

It should be familiar, I'm a mod now :) You should stop by and say hey.

It was at Irwindale Speedway, and I think those are gold Advan RGIIs

Just did. My old motor build turbo thread is still stickied there LOL. Some kid asked a question on how to boost and my last post there was like 2002. I miss the old Turbo Lude some times. Then I get into my NSX and forget all about it. Glad to see you kept yours though. Did you pick up an NSX too?

Haha awesome. Yeah, I can't get rid of the Prelude, just so much time/effort/money/blood/sweat/tears put into it to sell for like what, 6k?

Yeah, picked up a white one in Feb!

Sweet man, Congrats!! I am just over 7 years into ownership and it just gets better. Read the threads on the NSX quirks ... it took me two years to realize the side vents popped up LOL. I put it up for sale wanting to move on to an R8 and after I got offers for over what I asked, when it came time to really say goodbye ... I could'nt do it. This car kicks so much ass I'm keeping it forever. Lots of emotion tied to it. I didnt blink when I sold the Lude. I feel bad I even put it up for sale, like I betrayed her. I have to buy her some thing nice to say sorry. I'd like to turbo the NSX like the lude but the cost is a bit different. I was able to build a motor, full R&R, AEM, custom turbo and tune for less than a decent setup costs on this one ... :frown:

Here's mine:

Thanks man, congrats to you too, the NSX looks great. I can see some styling cues from your Prelude. Yeah, my friend discovered the pop up vents. Pretty awesome. It's true though, it's a remarkable car and I'm so excited to own one. And yeah, parts are on another level as compared to the Prelude hah.

Sounds like an awesome time.

Isn't that matte black nsx downforces old one?

From what I know, yes. It did have a downforce sticker on it as well.

Love the pics!

I think (besides the NSX of course) the CR-Z is my favorite. Kind of want one as a daily driver/project car thing

LOVE the photos  What an amazing selection of cars there...almost every style of tuning and aesthetic represented.

Makes me miss my old Accord.

Now I want a last gen prelude for a dd... Damn these pics!
