You are having more fun than I wold ever have doing all that work. One of the things I'm most impressed by is the joy you are experiencing working on your car! It's inspiring on many different levels - I don't think I've ever heard anybody talk about all the work they're doing like you - mostly they're just worn out and ready to be done but you are really enjoying it all the way. I'm really impressed Shawn - you are really showing a lot of grit dude! I'm mighty proud to have you as a fellow primer. Can't wait to see the final product! I know you will be proud of it. Makes me want to drive down and check it out! If I had the time I would!

Great stuff man - keep up the good work!

thanks Lithiumus, where have you been, off the grid like Tbromley?

I've got 2 kids now so staying on the grid is a best effort if at all... things move a lot slowly now and if I was doing what you were doing, the progress you have made would be like 2 years worth of work already!

Keep up the great work and keep the pics rolling!

finally, parts will be here friday or saturday.

I am in the home stretch now. Youtube video of the first time she wakes up will be posted. hope there are no hick-ups

stay tuned.

Awesome. This thread makes a rather mundane day at the office interesting. I always go here when I'm bored to see what Shawn's up to LOL. I still think you should make your 2002 into a Type S coupe.

Guys I need help,

I need the part number for the 3 rubber coolant hoses that are in the middle of the car. the F-ing Acura parts guys couldnt figure out the diagram so the coolant hoses they ordered are the wrong ones.

also they ordered the wrong coolant hoses that exit the hole above the gas tank that lead to the water pump

I have all the parts now timing belt etc. etc

I have to go back to the dealer and tell them the part number I want so help me out guys.

so 3 big ass hoses under the car and the 3 big hoses that exit the alum piping that lead to the water pump and Heater core, they are located under the expansion tank.

yeah thats the diagram we were looking at for like an hour

we think it was 17 and 16 but then were is the 3rd hose? it goes to another page and we went to that page and they ordered a pipe about 2 inches long and that def not the hose i need.

then the upper is so confusing acura parts guys think they ordered the right ones now. but I dont think so.

fudge. Im gonna climb under the car tomorrow and take pics.

there are only 3 hoses under the car under near the shifter. heater core and coolant in and coolant out.

and there are only 3 hoses under the expansion which are coolant in and coolant out and heater core.

UGGHHH ..

19519-PR7-A00

in the engine bay under the Expansion tank coming out fo the firewall obove the gas tank are

79728-SLO-A00
19506-PR7-A01
19507-PR7-A01

call nabil at first class: (407) 228-2849
he's done lots of these.

OK all parts are in,

BY THE WILL OF THE GODS this NSX will Start.

I will pick the parts up today so I hope the 2 last hoses are correct.

cross your fingers guys.

Ok guys I am pissed Still the wrong part I need one coolant hose

for the parts department at FERMAN ACURA OF TAMPA

to order the wrong parts again is unreal. I dont know if its my fault for trusting them to order the right part.

Help guys I need to know the REAL part number for the heater core.
its the top hose under the car. I took pics. and also took a pic of the damn clamp that took me 1 hour to get off in frustration i bent the shit out of it.
not one scratch to the heater core pipe though thank god.

HELP... its ALL waiting on this hose. now I know I can go to the auto parts store and cut one to length but I shouldnt need to they should order the correct part am I wrong in thinking this?

the arrows are the heater core pipes, the question mark is what hose in question. I need to know what part number to order. the last pic is the bugger that took 1 hour to get off. this clamp was thrown off my dock as far as I could throw it along with the brand new channel-lock plyers I purchased as they were POWERBUILT brand shit. broke after 3 times using them. dont buy POWERBUILT ANYTHING.......

I believe it is supposed to be 79727-SL0-A00. What was the part# on the hose that didn't fit?

Btw, the hose clamp on that particular hose is a real PITA. I had to use a worm gear hose clamp instead of the OEM clamp.

Hey Shawn,

For all NSXs that hose should be 79727-SL0-A00

Do you have all the packaging to verify all the parts? Was that above part included and not fit?

Shawn,

i posted here the details of all Hoses that NSX uses for coolant.

Keep in mind that for the BIG 6 i didn't use the OEM ones, but instead used the VENAIR silicone kit that DALI sells.

Go check the link. Hope it helps.

Thanks,
Nuno

EDIT:
The one you need is number #10 from the "water valve" scheme. I call it "Hose 07" in my individual photos
