Mike, hopefully will get some horsepower soon, from an HP turbokit. So look in the for sale section for my ARC exhaust shortly.

Charles, my car started as a 91 black/black so the roof was originally black then I had it painted spa-yellow, and then back to black. Hopefully I don't switch back.

so you have a black engine bay just like a real R? noice!

Frank i just PMd you before this thread.

So please ignore it :)

Your car with the white wheels is ace, id love mine to look very similar.

well done.

Frank,

If it were my NSX I would not go with these whilst retaining the clean lines of your NSX-R replica.

IMO, your idea to go Pearl with black top etc is spot on with the exception of white wheels - I would go gunmetal.

Regards, Paul

Frank, From prior experience with the aluminum on these cars I've read that it is better to baking soda blast these pieces rather than media blast unless it's super fine, because the aluminum is so thin. Make sure whoever does it is top notch with aluminum.
Chris

Would you guys use the factory sideskirts for the new project or use, gt-one, or a set of stacys/DF? Still doing the nsx-r look, but thought I might dress it up a bit while still keeping the car classy. Definately using the nsx DF rear diffuser, that came on the prototype nsx-r. Frank

Hi Frank,

Personally I would stay with the OEM look for the sills. However, if DF reproduce these, together with the door pieces, rear valance and the lower front bumper in CF, this would give your new project a very unique look. The Cf would then tie in well with the spoiler and diffusor and mirrors. IMO, changing to the non OEM style would cheapen the overall look. I would then finish the project by retaining the black top and refinishing the R rims in grey.

Regards, Paul

Paul, thanks for the quick reply. I am going to keep the side skirts factory, your correct aftermarket ones will make the car look cheap. I am think about installing the championship nsx-r light to match the championship white wheels, now that the car will be the Honda pearl white. Frank

Frank, if you're going to go with the Pearl white I would do the wheels/lights and everything the same. IMO the pearl white next to the champ white will look night and day. I experience that on my car, when parked next to or near any Normal White colors. The Champ white is super super off-white colored.
