well, im going out next wednesday to buy one. i may hit up the dealers before then to see if any have what i want at a price i want.

a 08 double cab sr5 red on black with 2300 miles popped up for 26k obo, has oem fenderflares, optional grill, 6" procomp lift with 20s and 35s, if he is willing to drive i may just have to get that, itll look alright with silver te37's:biggrin:

Definitely check the dealers. I was able to buy a new truck in January for less than cost and hold-back. I can only surmise that you could do even better today if you show up with cash.

Check this out. I leased mine. It's a full loaded 07 has all the options. The dealer put the residual, drum roll please, at 24,900.00. LOL They are going to take a bath on that truck when I give it back to them 19 months from now.

45k miles. They totally screwed it up IMO. That is one of the big bonuses of buying the latest and greatest product. Even the dealer thinks it's more valuable than it is. Add up the residual and the total of my payments and it comes out 4k under the sticker which was just under 50k. Toyota is defiantly going to lose money on this truck.

Here is my take on that ad. Seller is saying low miles at the top of the ad but not saying the miles. Some people think low miles is under 15k per year. I think low miles are under 15k on the damn car reguardless of age. The seller put most all the pics up before the picture of the dash which shows the miles. IOW, the seller is saying let me get you hooked before I spill the beans. Lastly the seller is a "wholesale warehouse dealer"...doubt it. Probably more like a new car dealer who can't get shit for high milage trade-ins at the auction so he moves them off site to a warehouse and peddles them to the public so no one knows the cars belong to BIG JIM"S CHEVORLET SUPER STORE, or something like that. When the thing breaks, and it will with 112k on it the buyer won't be in the showroom bitching about being sold a POS he will be waiting next to a warehouse for hours, and he won't do that more than once mayyyybe twice.

if it was 5k i wouldnt care if it broke, its a 3/4 ton so id just put a duramax with 6speed allison in it from a newer silverado/sierra.

i drove a 08 white crewmax limited 5.7 4x4 trd package and trd 22's with red rock interior tonight.

WOW it was getting dark and cold so i didnt drive a standard cab, i was suprised at how easy the crewmax was to reverse into a parking space.

the truck i drove has a 47k sticker(43+4k for the wheels) and it had 4000 miles on it, theyd only knock an additional 5-700 off for the 4000 miles(because 4000 miles is worth 500 bucks wtf?)

Build a listing of the exact truck you want, with option codes and everything. Use the Toyota web site to choose dealers in your area to whom you wish to submit quotes. Deal with each over the phone to determine if they're prepared to give you a good price and that they have a vehicle similar if not the same as the one you want.

I found two dealers only 10 miles apart, one that wanted $500 under retail and the other that was $500 under invoice (essentially throwing in hold-back).

i forgot to say, that dealer has a flat 6k off the sticker, plus the 500, that would be a whopping 6500 off, needless to say i i have found around 5500-7500 off at some dealers on some models, theyre all around that discount. and i havent even went out with my freind who was a big seller and knows people at almost all of these places.

right now i am pretty set on a crew max with sunroof, some of the lower end tundras have a steering colum mounted shifter so im going to test drive one of those, i really like the centerconsole shifter though.


i hear getting custom leather installed is around 1500, so im not too worried about spending the extra amount on a limited

weaksauce, i spent about 4 1/2 hours at toyota tonight, running around in the rain getting stock numbers, drove 4 different tundras of different models and a sequoia(p.s. if any of you want a nice suv, try out a sequoia they put escalades to shame)

and couldnt come to a deal, they basicaly told me to go f myself, even at 8500 off which was something that my freinds hookup at that dealer told me.

so we will see what happens this week, i got paid and am ready to buy now.



also went to look at some gmc diesels but they only had a 52k and 58k red brand new diesel, reds not my style and i i would really prefer the 06-07 body, i left him my number to call back if he finds the 06-07 diesel crewcab or a escalade ext 07

the dealer called me back this morning and said they would take 10k off a limited crewmax thats a demo with 5k, silver/silver 44k sticker.

they have a white/red rock interior limited crewmax demo with 4k miles i would consider buying for 10k off if they threw in the 22" trd wheels that were on it last week for free(those wheels jacked up the price 4k to 47k, but now they swapped them out with some stupid momo 20's)
