Petrol Smell

Anyone have any ideas why, when driving uphill I can often detect a slight smell of petrol inside the car.
It does not appear to be coming from the engine compartment as all hoses and connectors in there check out 100%.
Initially I thought it could possibly be the injector seals, however I have replaced them along with new injectors and the smell can still be detected in the car, as I said above, particularly when driving uphill - does that point to some sort of issue with the tank?

Check the hose that connects the fuel door area to the tank. Over time the rubber dry rots and cracks. Also check the hose clamps, one of them could be loose or broken.

Also check the rubber seal on the gas cap. The rubber can crack and the seal will fall off.
