Would you park your NSX at a Vegas Casino for a week?

I just bought my 1st NSX a few months ago and am going to the SEMA show in Vegas. I would love to take it on the road trip to Vegas but am concerned about parking it at a casino for a week. Since I will be staying at a casino like Bally's I am hoping they would keep it right up front since there are not many Ferrari drivers staying there. What do you think, would you take your NSX to Vegas for a week? Or any advice on secure parking in Vegas?

well almost 200 NSX's went to vegas for three of four days in december its called NSXPO
and not one was stolen or damaged that i remember reading.

except one member almost was car jacked and the NSX owner floored it and got away, then got a cop to pull the would-be car jacker over and the car jackers had a gun, but the owner of the NSX had a gun too

so I am sure you would be OK

will let members that went chime in

But didn't the casino have secured NSX only parking for last years NSXPO? I wish I could have made it to NSXPO last year since I was there for SEMA the following week.

Should be fine as long as you park it in an area that's exposed to lots of foot and vehicle traffic. Also, try to park in a spot monitored close to a surveillance camera.

I would like to hear more of that story - any link?

We are talking about Vegas, not Bogota, Rio, or Bagdad, as long as you park / or pay for parking I see no reason to worry, if the car gets stolen, well, that's what insurance is for right?

I wouldn't stop enjoying my NSX/Vegas experience concerned about my NSX, while you see 200K+ Cars parked on regular parking lots all the time :)

Have a safe trip!

Angus,
I will try to find the link it was under one of the NSXPO threads

the NSX owner said the cops searched his car too and found a legal registered gun

and the would be criminals were shocked cuz they didnt think a rich old guy would have a gun in his car. they could have been killed instead of them killing him

They aren't going to keep it right up front. Unless you want to give someone a huge tip, and even then, I doubt they would do it for an entire week. (I wouldn't want my car parked up front anyway - too conspicuous, more susceptible to something happening to it.) Also, you'd be surprised how many high-end cars you'll see in Vegas, at any casino or anywhere else.

That's good advice. But if you're going to be using it, just park it like you normally would. (For me, this means finding a place which won't have people parking right up alongside where they can ding the doors.)

I agree with the advice, but there's no need to pay for parking; the big parking garages at all the casinos are free.

I wouldn't be afraid to park my NSX in the parking garage at any casino in Vegas. Although if I weren't going to drive it for an entire week there, I'd probably just leave it home.

Oh, and that carjacking attempt was simply a matter of wrong place, wrong time - and the perpetrators were arrested during the attempt.

I park my car at Vegas casino's all the time. Just put it in one of the nicer Hotel/Casino's (like City Center or Cosmopolitan) and it will be fine.

As long as you valet, I don't see a problem. I would on the other hand, watch the valet drivers park to make sure they don't take the car on a joy ride.

I went to NSXpo in Las Vegas and arrived a week early. I parked out front of the South Point with the masses for 5 days prior to moving it back in the "secure" lot. I never used valet parking or anything. I drove it up and down the strip and parked at various strip hotel lots, the free ones in back of places like NYNY, Excalibur, Caesars, Luxor and one day at the Wynn.

My car is a 1991, it is only worth 25k. Most new cars are worth way more than my car anyway. I always find it funny when people think my car is worth a bundle when their Audi, Jetta or Accord is worth more than my car. I don't mind walking, so I just park out of the way and hope for no door dings.

No no no. Use the valet and YOU park it, not them. A tip goes a long way in making this happen. Before and after you park

R we already talking about SEMA? It's like 7 months away. Alot can happen in 7 months. why waste ur time and effort now worrying about parking at a Vegas casino in Nov when there are more important things to worry about.

If u just need a place to PARK your car for a week I am sure I can accommodate you, however, we can discuss this more in detail in Oct.

I'd stay away from the valets. Palazzo valet damaged the front right rim on my Audi. Looks like he curbed it hard when they broght it out when I was checking out. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until I got home.

True. But in a few years the Audi, Jetta and Accord all put together won't add up to 25K in value, and the NSX will still be worth that, or more if the economy recovers appreciably.
I lusted too long and hard for an NSX to just resign it to hope. Maybe I'm just playing mindgames with myself, but I never lose the mentality that the NSX is a rare supercar, one out of thousands, to be coddled, protected, and parked way the heck away from the door-dinging rabble.
So, like you said, parking out of the way(WAY out of the way) is the way to go.

I parked mine a long time ago in Vegas with no problems for about 4days including weekend. Door ding has more probability in my view.
