Thanks for the info! The approaches are beyond my skills and equipment but I do appreciate the suggestions. If I do decide to go any further I'll hand it over to somebody better equipped!
Update. There were a couple of smaller threaded plates I could salvage from the other handle, as they are not used with the replacement handles. If that's confusing I'm sorry ;-)
Anyway it's not correct, and that will but me, but the handle is back in the car and working, at least for now...
I am installing the SOS replacement door handle + levers. The actual handle broke and not the lever so I needed the relacement handle and thought I might as well do the levers while I was at it. I didn't realize until too late that I was supposed to keep the "threaded plate from factory door...
I tested in my garage and cupped my hands around the switches and pressed my eye into that. I can't discern any light whatsoever coming from the buttons in question. The other CCU buttons are (relatively!) bright. I can't help but think the light source for those buttons has failed. Be nice...
Thanks for the reply! Most of the CCU buttons illuminate for me. Just the MODE, A/C and OFF buttons do not illuminate. Can you confirm that they are supposed to?
The dimmer function works fine for the buttons that are lit up :-)
Hi all, can somebody please confirm that *all* buttons on the CCU are supposed to be illuminated? Mine currently does not light the MODE, A/C, and OFF buttons. I assume this is a failure, just want to confirm. Thanks for your time!
Yeah it's almost for sure the same clip. Wish I hadn't lost both of them too. Sigh.
That's a good idea, if somebody knows another part that has the same clip. Crossing my fingers. I'd be willing to break down a much cheaper part, but not an NSX nav pod or vent assembly.
No it seems to be lost forever (perhaps deep inside my dash??) otherwise I would have glued it back as you suggest. I just dug up my vent assembly and it is missing *both* clips, so much for my idea of stealing one for the nav pod. Oh well, it's not the end of the world. Thanks for getting...
Thanks for the reply! See attached photo. The clip I'm referring to is on the bottom of the unit. You can see I'm missing the one on the left. I assume this is a generic 'can be found anywhere' kind of thing, but it would sure help if there was a proper name or part number for it. I forget...
