One word: polar moment of inertia. think of a figure skater spinning with their arms open they spin slow(front engine) as they bring their arms in they speed up (mid engine) the more concentrated the mass the easier it changes directions.
Hey is anyone going to Cars and Coffee next week at the Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline. I went last year and its a good time. Up early and over early 7am to 10 am. I just cleaned the car and got it all ready to go.

i don't understand the 91 octane. the ex honda accord as a 190hp 2.4L and take 87 but the extra 11hp in the ILX and Si require 91 octane???? Also if Cadillac can get over 300hp out of their v6 in the CTS then i would hope honda could get 200hp out of a 4 banger running on 87.
Can't imagine that is worth the effort. I know most recently Chevy and GMC offered it on their full size truck as a way to make the turning radius smaller and backing to a trailer easier but i'm pretty sure it locks at higher speeds. I really can't imagine that is going to make the car handle...
I went last year to one. Didn't take the X though and there wasn't a single one there. Hope to make it to the June one if not then the July meeting. Its a good time and some great cars and even better people show up. Have fun if you made it there this morning.

If you look on the Science of Speed website is states you need a 5 mm spacer for the rears. I've been thinking about these wheels too not sure how i feel about spacers. here's the link...
