    moldy smell from the vents

Sorry, I don't have a video or pictures, just the experience. Look for the black rubber drain hose (roughly 1/2" diameter) underneath. Its near the front & middle (width-wise) of the car in the area where the big coolant pipes head back to the rear of the car. Unbend a coat hanger and use it to...

    Best carpet cement?

I have a truly minor issue; The corner of the NSX emblem on my OEM floor mat is beginning to lift. What carpet glue or cement works best for that minor repair? Frank

Windshield Replacement - OEM Glass No Longer Available.

Interestingly, I had the windshield replaced in June 2009 on my '96. The OEM windshield itself cost $797.22. The shop I used choked when they saw the price and submitted it to my insurance company for pre-approval. Amazingly, my insurance company approved. The installer used all Acura parts...

What gearbox oil do you use with a NSX-R differential?

Just a note that the '95 Shop Manual and '96 Supplement Manual state engine oil should be used only in an emergency in the transmission and replaced ASAP with the Honda MTF.

NSXPO 2018 - are the dates solid?

An announcement I have seen stated Thu Sep 27 - Mon Oct 1, 2018 for NSXPO 2018 in the San Francisco area. Due to Maria wiping out Puerto Rico, I have airline tickets I can apply to another trip with no penalty if done by Oct 31, 2017. Are those dates are solid? If so, I'll take the airline...

Trying to Find Window Regulator Repair Kit

The NSX windows will never be fast, but its amazing what cleaning the tracks and replacing the slider blocks does for them. However, there are other issues/failures that may make repair/rebuild necessary.

Learning on an NSX (or opinions needed from fathers with teenage sons!)

20+ years ago, and before I bought my NSX, I taught my son and one of my daughters to drive a stick. My daughter injured her knee playing field hockey at school one day and they took her to the hospital to check it out. She gave her keys to one of the boys at the game and asked them to drive...

    Oxygen Sensor Removal Notes

Mike, Here's shots of the secondary sensors. The one with the "cup" on it is the factory installed original. The one without the cup is the replacement. The second picture is a close-up of just the one with the cup. Its tough to get the washer off a sensor once it had torqued down, and...

    Oxygen Sensor Removal Notes

The NTK and Walker sensors that I've ordered in the last year all came with a tiny tube of the lubricant.

    Oxygen Sensor Removal Notes

(I went for Walker since I've not had any other car lose so many O2 sensors especially at only 80kmi and therefore won't buy Denso. '96 NSX-T, red/tan) For bank 1 / sensor 2 I used the Walker 250-24121, which fit perfectly, including the rubber grommets around the cable that snap into...

How to remove a stuck front disk with no sledge hammer

Have you tried a rubber hammer? At times I have found it kind of vibrates things loose without over-stressing parts. Perhaps it may help....

    Oxygen Sensor Removal Notes

I changed bank 1 sensor 2 today, due to its heater element failing. Both primary sensors also failed that way, but were covered by the old extended warranty. In preparation, I sprayed this sensor with PBlaster and took a short ride. It was easy to get at from the floor, not even requiring me...

Happy belated birthday Larry, from me & Jan!

    How difficult to change clutch?

Considering how long the job takes, I think Larry was just being conservative. You note "If the gearbox is been taken out straight there should be little to none stress on the discs." True, but in that tight a space, a little wiggling is needed to separate the trans from the engine while...
