    1993 NSX coupe Red/Ivory 5-Speed 54,510 JH4NA1159PT000315

Likewise as far as distance goes. I live in SoCal. My first NSX was in Portland, OR. The second in Melbourne, FL. Both times I drove them home. What a blast!

    NSX becoming hard to find..

When I bought my second NSX 4 years ago I made the deal within 24 hours of the car being listed on NSX Prime. [Never mind the fact that the seller tried to back out of the deal even after I had wired him an $8,000 deposit and booked my 1-way plane ticket]. The car is a '91 and had 33,000 miles...

    Battery draining.. Help please... =(

Wow, I am having the exact same problem with my NSX. I put in a new Costco Kirkland battery one year ago (make sure you get the one with the pos. & neg. terminals in the right place - the first one they sold me had them reversed), and about 6 months ago the battery had no juice left after the...

    SuperCar Sunday Lamborghini Day

Hi! I'm new to the group (sort of - I had a '98 NSX-T that I sold 7 years ago). I've had my '91 NSX for 2 years now, but haven't done anything with the group yet. I plan on joining up for SuperCar Sunday though. I'll be driving down from Santa Barbara early Sunday morn'. I'll see you all in...

    SMOG - can't get a Tachometer reading

Hi, I went to get my NSX smogged last Saturday and the technician couldn't get a tachometer reading after hooking up his tester to the battery terminals. If he connects to the + Positive terminal in the Main Fuse Box in the engine compartment and grounds out the other lead will that give a...

Any special tools needed for VC Stud removal?

Thanks a lot Larry! I bought the studs a few months ago and forgot that they had hex drives on them. I posted my thread after a friend said that if I had trouble removing the studs he had a stud remover that I could borrow. Started making me worry that the studs might be hard to get out...

Any special tools needed for VC Stud removal?

Hi, I bought some new Valve Cover Studs as the threads aren't in the best of shape on the old ones and I've had a hard time bolting the rear Valve Cover tightly (it leaks). So........, I have all the parts I need, but before I start I was just wondering how hard is it going to be to remove...

Oil still leaking after Cam Plug/VC Gasket replacement

One more thing. The smoke coming from the engine bay after I drive the car is worse when I park the car on a hill where the front of the car is higher than the rear. There is very little smoke when the tail is higher. It seems as if the oil pools in the back of the Valve Cover and perhaps...

Oil still leaking after Cam Plug/VC Gasket replacement

Back again! This oil leak is really getting old!!!! I don't drive the car very much (partly because of the oil leak), and I don't live anywhere near a mechanic I know of to work on the car and have felt all along that I could fix it myself. Well, now that I've replaced the Cam Plugs, the...

    Any Golfers?

Hi, I've golfed since I was 10. I'm a 6 handicap. I live in Santa Barbara, so if anyone is in the area or I'm down your way....... What general area are you in? Hit 'em straight! John

Oil still leaking after Cam Plug/VC Gasket replacement

Hi again! Does anyone know what this fitting is that the three arrows in the photo are pointing to? IT is what appears to be (still) leaking. It has an Allen Head drive. I crawled under the car yesterday and it doesn't appear to be the spool valve gaskets that are leaking. Oil is now...

Oil still leaking after Cam Plug/VC Gasket replacement

I don't know if anyone could load the photo, but I'm wondering what this fitting is on the head in the picture? Has it been known to leak? http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2525923140027835782BzwOLu

Oil still leaking after Cam Plug/VC Gasket replacement

As the Cam Plugs looked oily I thought I would start by replacing them and the VC Gasket, but the Spool Valve Gaskets were also on my list when I first discovered the problem. I'll have to crawl under the car again, but I don't think they are leaking. Thanks Brian!
