    Fiat 500 Abarth

IMO people are terrible about estimating the true cost of a vehicle. Vehicle ownership is generally dominated by deprecation, running costs, insurance AND mileage. Your Civic might get slightly better EPA numbers, but what about the higher MSRP (opportunity cost/investment potential loss), the...

InsideLine: 1991 Acura NSX vs 2012 Audi R8

Interesting also considering the R8's price tag is almost exactly in line with the NSX's when adjusted for inflation. It just goes to show how far we've come in car development in 21 years. I agree the R8 is currently the NSX's most appropriate successor, but I'm eagerly awaiting the next NSX...

    Zanardi #29 JH4NA212XXT000156

It's just sad to see how few miles this car has. As a car lover, it's just heart breaking to see a garage queen like this not being used for it's intended purpose. And for what? The owner kept this vehicle locked away driving less then one mile a day on average only to sell it for a...

    Zanardi #29 JH4NA212XXT000156

Re: interesting... If we are talking inflation, then 75k in 1999 dollars is already 100k in today's dollars.

    Zanardi #29 JH4NA212XXT000156

Nice find. I think the main driver of the price is the low miles and not the fact it's a Zanardi. On autotrader there are only 7 examples of NSX for sale with less then 15k miles. One is a 1999 NSX T on sale for 70k.

    "Official" Zanardi Thread...

Congrats on finding the car you wanted. It's getting harder and harder. 10k mileage is phenomenal but to me that also precludes actually driving it and enjoying it - that's why I personally am looking for higher mileage cars. Also to those asking about the price - remember those cars retailed...

    NSX OEM parts= becoming extinct?

Just FYI there is no law on the books saying a manufacturer has to provide parts for a car once it is out of production. There is an urban legend about the law, but it essentially was just company policy for GM cars for a period time, but it isn't advertised anymore. Of course many car...

    JH4NA21665S000239 One of last '05's

I have no doubt the matter has been researched extensively by the party claiming to have the last NSX ever produced in the entire world. Considering there is absolutely no documentation to prove the fact makes the matter almost irrelevant. If there was documentation, it would be worth more then...

Last USDM NSX will mean about as much as the last EDM Corvette IMO

    auto vs stick

BMW's come from GETRAG and Porsche's come from ZF. No one makes their own DCTs for road cars (race cars is another story).

    auto vs stick

You should definitely research and drive a few different kinds of NSX before pulling the trigger on an 02-05 auto nsx. There is very little difference between the engine in a 1991 Auto Nsx and a 2005 Auto NSX. You will be paying a very large premium for a 2002-2005 auto nsx for in many ways the...

talk me off the Ferrari ledge......

For me it's not so much the $ signs associated with the maintenance that is bothersome, although without question it is blatantly ridiculous. The problem is that Ferrari systematically uses inferior parts, don't admit to design defects, and will gladly replace failing parts with new versions...

talk me off the Ferrari ledge......

I agree that most Ferrari buyers use them as status symbols instead of actual high performance fun to drive cars, but I think saying they lack passion is a little unfair. Although I respect Lamborghini as a car maker more then Ferrari these days, Lamborghini attracts way more "posers" then...

talk me off the Ferrari ledge......

From the 355 to the 360, it was the first transition where I really think Ferrari made an effort to improve the ownership experience. The interior is much better and the major service can be performed without an engine out. The F430 went a step further by using chains instead of belts. With all...

talk me off the Ferrari ledge......

This is pretty much the long and the short of it for Ferrari ownership. The company builds inferior machines, and has for decades. For some reason owners keep going back due to the "Ferrari mythos", but really, the parts are under engineered (owners call it "exotic"), the cars are relatively...
