California law states it is not to exceed 95db (no distance specified). Also it is up to the law enforcement official to determine if the vehicle is exceeding that limit (without having to use a decibel meter).
We definately have to get together again especially with the good weather coming back!! As for a baseline dyno, I think everyone should get one. It's not just for getting HP figures. A dyno sheet can also tell you if there is something not right with your car. FYI... ATP Turbo also has a...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ....let's not go there with the whole Zaino and Zymol!!! It really doesn't matter...Mustang, Dynojet, Dyno Dynamics.... but if you start with one particular type of dyno, you should stay with it.
One more thing...unfortunately you can't really compare dyno runs from different days let alone from a different dyno all together. There was a post of a dyno sheet from a Mustang dyno. Mustang dyno's are load bearing dynos and are configurable by the operator. He/She can change ramp rates...
Dyno threads almost always turn into a flame war of some kind. :frown:
Although PEAK HP numbers are nice for bragging rights, what good is it of you get 500HP at 4K then it just drops like a rock after that? Alot of people seem to neglect the graph and the "area under the curve". The idea...
WOW.. since when did NSX owners become such snobs? This is probably one of very few if not the only forum that doesn't have the attitude of "I'm too good for you" mindset. At least back when I used to own a NSX. :frown:
Re: Dyno Day April 23 @ Apex Motorsports in Santa Clara, CA
If you want to do that, you would be better off doing that on a load bearing dyno like a Dyno Dynamics dyno. Vishnu Tuning in Pleasanton has one.
That would be great!! I miss the drives / meets. If you guys don't mind, I would love join one of your drives as well.
BTW..My spring install turned out to be 2 projects in one (spring install and CV boot replacement).
I'm glad that worked out for you. I was the one that said the NSX and EVO VIII share the same harness. Do you have dyno sheets with your supercharger installed?
