    Who's your Daddy...the Cayman & the NSX

Had a ride in Cayman GT4. Similar construction cues to 15yr older NSX such as aluminium construction, mid-engined six, 6 speed manual. It would eat an NSX but so it should with 15more years in tyre and brake development & a larger engine. However it would be a painful day driver, not necessarily...

    Servicing in Melbourne

I've been v. happy with Honda Brighton in the past. I was thinking of importing my Timing belt/water pump parts as Oz Honda parts prices seem to be expensive . Can you give me some advice re sourcing in the States and reassurance that you are getting the required parts.

    Major Engine failure

Still would be interested if any Primer has heard of a newish NSX having a major engine failure. Both German cars were not tracked/flogged.

    Major Engine failure

A friend has had a major head bolt/stud failure in his 1yr old Merc C63 AMG engine. Another had an engine replaced ( when new) in his V8 previous model BMW M5 because of major damage following oil starvation. My impression is that these vehicles are highly stressed, especially for hot Oz...

    NSX Convoy

What month would be a good time for a get together of local ( Vic) NSXs. Daylesford would be a pleasant drive all round with some reasonable restaurants for a good lunch. About time Honda Australia was involved in their automotive heritage also.

Do you believe the GTR is the 1st Japanese Supercar?

Can everybody please take a reality check about the new GT-R. Motor Mag Australia(www.motormag.com.au) reports (June 08) that the intergrated data logging systems will mandate servicing after on-track activity, rumoured cost Oz$1000, and detect excessive, whatever that is, use of the launch...

    NSX Convoy

Had a very pleasant time in convoy with a very tidy red NA1 from Melbourne to Bendigo the other night. Came across each other accidentally and great to see another NSX doing what I think the great auto journalist/ engineer Dennis Jenkinson said was its forte, as a fast GT. I regularly travel the...

    Toyo Tires?

In another life I had Toyos on an Alfa Spider. The sidewalls were dangerously thin and I had two separate blowouts due to wheel scuffing on roadside furniture such as concrete lips to delineate lanes. Common, dangerous roadbuilding practice in Australia. I would be very wary.
