for a DSP, you can go with the JBL MS-2 as recommended by Turbo2Go several times. Very small in size and easy to configure, which goes along with your theme of light weight and simple.

I have seen a Red 91 around the center of Warren several times. There are also other members in the area (1 in Basking Ridge) I believe, but rarely saw any NSXs in the area. I grew up and lived in Warren until recently for the past 20+ years.

DashCommand can do soemthign similar on an Android or iOS tablet with a Bluetooth OBDII dongle.
Retrofitting it into the cluster area would be the difficult part.

Very good information here. I have been looking for information on doing this with the Nexus 7 2nd gen into a different car. Rooting will actually allow split screen multi-tasking. I plan on split screening waze and spotify normally, as well as running dash command, torque, and tasker.
