It ever so pains me to sell what I have considered in a long list of sportscars I have owned, one of my personal absolute favorites. I am selling this car because a good friend of mine lost his job and he needs help selling his F car which I will try to pursue pending the sale of my NSX. So this new project forces a very reluctant sale.
Clean owner history. I am the 4th owner.
Transmission Vin: J4A41003007 Out of snap range.
This car was originally purchased by a physician from Beverly Hills Acura. It remained stock up until the second owner from Southern California purchased it I believe somewhere around 2005ish. The second owner had RM automotive out of California perform the 60k mile service which included the timing belt, upgraded timing belt cover, water pump, valve seal gaskets, cam seals, as well as all the aftermarket parts purchased from Science of Speed.
From Science of Speed the second owner purchased:
-Stoptech BBK's front and rear, they currently have axxis delux pads.
-JIC FLT A2 coilovers
-NSX Short shift kit
-NA2 NSX-R Mesh shift boot with carbon trim panel.
-RPS Stage 1 single full face disk clutch
At the time in late 2006 these parts were installed by RM automotive which I have photo documented, they also replaced the main relay.
Shortly after the NSX was sold to a gentleman in Utah. He was an older contractor who bought the car to fulfill his midlife crisis. He had the local dealer do the service such as oil changes. He replaced the main climate control unit, and pretty much kept the car garaged for 3 years only driving it every now and then. He bought the car a carbon fiber NSX-R hood and had it painted berlina black.
I was in the market for a F-355 when I stumbled upon this NSX through word of mouth. When I purchased it on November, 2009 and I put the car on jack stands, and completely went through it. It had a leak on one of the v-tech solenoids which I had fixed, and I am a detailer, so I spent 3 solid weeks on paint correction. I polished every panel and even did under the trunk using Menzerna Super intensive polish, Menzerna 106FF, and I sealed everything with black dodo juice. I used my porter cable 7424 as well as my flex polisher. No wet sanding, just a whole lot of polishing.
I made this car my winter project and my goals were to build a car that I could comfortably drive to the track, and drive home with no issues. Here is a list of things I had personally purchased for the car.
From Dali:
-WW style front urethane lip
-Front tow hook
-Clutch dampener delete line
-Gruppe M type R shift knob
-Test pipes
From SOS:
-Advan RZ 17x8F, 18x10R with Brand new new Toyo Proxxes in the front 215/40/17(as of 05/25/10) and new Kumho's in the rear 275/35/18. I have two different brands of tires because a mutual friend through a tire store had these sizes in stock.
-Unifilter
Other mentionables:
-Topspeed headers
-Pride racing exhaust.
-Shark Antenna
-Jetz racing Type R spoiler. They sent me the spoiler with a broken 3rd brake light. I honestly don't now if they will send me a new one. Communication has been poor.
Oil changes were done using Royal purple, and a factory filter. Transmission fluid has been changed with AMSoil synchromesh. ABS has been exercised with Motul. Has Grom audio Ipod hookup. 8000k HID's. I still have the factory hood, rear spoiler, and front lip. I also have the stock manifolds, and cats. Also fresh NGK iridium spark plugs. Ready to enjoy for the summer. I really hope the new owner takes care of her. I honestly love this car.
THE CONS:
-Has a small crack on the passenger side upper right hand corner of the windshield.
-The paint on the rear bumper has a 3 inch crack from the previous exhaust getting too hot.
-Scratch on the driver side front fender. I have it polished out pretty well.
-The shifting is very notchy. It's an NSX thing. Plus the short shifter makes it a little more notchy.
-It "sweats" oil on the rear bank valve cover seal, and it "sweats" what I believe is transmission fluid. After long trips, the car leaves one drop of fluid on the ground. Is it worth taking it to the dealer and having it torn apart? I don't think so. Also the way I have the suspension setup, the front tires do rub the fender plastics when you hit a bump.
Has no spare tire do to the BBK kit. So I keep a can of fix-a-flat just in case. The factory tire inflator, tools work just fine. Stereo is awesome, all speakers are in great shape. I also have the spare tire bracket removed for weight savings purposes, but I still have it.
The AC blows cold, heater blows warm. No smoking from startup, decelleration, etc. Pretty much my dream NSX. NA1 hardtop with tasteful track mods. Np rips or tears in the interior. I use leatherique products as least once every 3 weeks whether the car gets driven or not. Also has NSX-R floormats.
Owned by one of the more obsessive compulsive. When I get done driving, I wipe the car down using the best products. I wipe the brake dust off the advans, and I clean all the glass as well as vacuum the driver side floor. In my ownership I never drove it to any public places other than gas stations. I just used the car for spirited drives, meets, cars and coffee as well as local drivers' schools events. Always garaged and if I saw a handful of gravel ahead on the road, I would flip a u-turn and take another road! Crazy I know but I love my cars.
Buyer will be responsible for the shipping of this vehicle. However for the cost of gas, I am willing to drive it to california, vegas, or surrounding states around Utah. Clear and free title in hand.
