Maintenance Information
All maintenance is up to date. Maintenance documented from new. Most performed at Acura dealerships prior to my ownership. Latest extensive maintenance done by Nabil at First Class Automotive in Orlando. Full maintenance history spreadsheet available on request.

Details
Current Condition of wearables incl. tires, brakes, belts, hoses, suspension components, and fluids: TB, WP, harmonic balancer, and much more just by Nabil at First Class Automotive. Everything was inspected. All fluids were changed except coolant which is two years old. ABS was rebuilt. ALL coolant hoses were replaced a couple of years ago.
Mods:
Engine bay
-Red wrinkle finish valve covers
-Dali round style coolant expansion tank (New in the box OEM tank included)
-Battery tender
Trunk
-“OEM”(?) trunk mat from Science of Speed.
Exterior
-Teflon coated stainless brake lines
-White’s HID headlights
-Side & Rear Window Tint. On car when I bought it. I would guess 35%. Appears to be of high quality. Absolutely no bubbling and no scratches in tint. Looks like it was just installed.
Miscellaneous
-CompuSTAR alarm/remote locking
-A/C certified conversion to RE134, blows icy cold.
-Hugo window kit (Driver’s side)
-SOS billet door levers (internal…replaces OME pot-metal part that breaks)
-Aftermarket magnetic oil drain plug
-New aftermarket battery under new OEM tie-down

Mechanically fully sorted and very original 1991 black/ivory NSX. Cosmetically 8/10 inside and out (where 10 is show-room new). This is a great driver that should need nothing beyond oil changes for years to come. Very original. For the owner who wants to start with a blank canvass or who wants to experience an NSX the way the engineers at Honda designed it.
Car was just serviced by Nabil at First Class Automotive in Orlando, FL, a premier repair facility on Prime’s list of NSX Specialists. Service included timing belt, water pump, lower belt cover, idler assembly, accessory belts, ABS rebuild, plugs, fuel filter, thermostat, valve adjustment, brake system flush, transmission fluid change, oil change. Nabil also inspected all steering and suspension components including bushings, motor mounts, and shocks, and pronounced them all good.
Toolkit, air pump, and spare are all present, although I don’t know if the air pump still works or how safe the 25 year old spare would be. Also included is the original owner’s manual, NSX-related literature and hard cover “sales brochure”, a black key, and an “unobtainium” key, each on a remote keyless fob.
Just installed, a used OEM radio from a 2005 NSX with about 28000 miles. Black 1991 knobs replaced the silver 2002 knobs. Owner of a local mobile audio shop and former NSX owner/primer inspected the Bose amps and they looked new. Entire audio system works perfectly (including cassette deck) and should be trouble free for many years.
Cosmetically the exterior is mostly original paint. Paint is glossy and looks great for a 25 year old car. I get a lot of positive comments when people learn that the paint is original. Exceptions are the front bumper cover and mirrors which have been repainted. New uninstalled front under-spoiler and new tow hook cover are included in the sale. (Not currently installed due to driveway issues.) Bumper cover could use another repaint or touch-up due to the usual stone chips. No noticeable dents or dimples. There is also a bit of a nasty scrape on the lower rear valance behind the rear wheel arch. I intend to have both the front lower bumper cover and the scrape on the rear valance repainted unless buyer wants to negotiate the price down and take the car as-is. Several areas were touch up paint has been dabbed on but not very noticeable. Ring around base of antenna from a previous Shark antenna installation. A few other paint imperfections. Glass is all good and free of cracks and chips. However the windshield is original and has the micro-pitting that one sees when driving with a 25 year old windshield directly into a low sun.
Interior is clean. Leather is in good condition but INSIDE driver’s bolster is discolored. Looks like someone once used the wrong cleaner. Noticeable but not jarring. The outside driver’s bolster was replaced when I bought the car and looks good. Driver arm rest switch trim is starting to wrinkle at front end and has some scratching near rear end. Passenger arm rest trim is nearly perfect. Some wrinkling along the top edge of center vent/clock surround. BRAND NEW center console trim piece ($700…gulp). Shift knob and boot are also new. Carpet is very good. Some scuffs on door sill trim. Headliner is excellent. Usual 2” splits at top edge seams of visors, not noticeable unless visors are down and then not glaring.
Engine bay is clean and tidy with no obvious fluid leaks.
Everything on this car works as it should. Car drives great and looks good. It has obviously been well cared for by all of its previous owners.

Car is freshly detailed, including a light paint correction.

EXTRAS:
-OEM 16/17 7-spoke polished (NOT chrome) rims with Dunlop tires. (OEM 15/16 “Fat Five” rims currently installed. Both sets of rims are in very nice condition with no curbing, no cracks, no dents.
-New spare OEM clutch-This is a brand new, in-the-box OEM dual plate clutch and flywheel assembly for 1991 NSX, including bearings and alignment tool. I bought it because I got a good price and figured someday it would be needed. Current clutch works perfectly.
-SOS remote oil pressure sending kit. (Just never got around to installing it since OEM sensor seems to work ok.)
-SOS Lost Motion Assembly kit. (Waiting for the car’s first engine-out service.)
-Full set of spare coils, used but tested good.
-OEM coolant tank, new in the box
-OEM rubber front spoiler new in the box from SOS, including all hardware
-OEM berlina black tow hook cover new in Honda packaging
-New OEM floor mats still in factory packaging. Color is "platinum white", which is the correct color mat for the ivory interior. Black floor mats in the car are in fair condition.

I am listing the car at $37K. This takes into consideration the following:
-Car is a strong Condition 3 on Hagerty ($33,800)
-Spare NIB OEM clutch/flywheel assembly ($1,462 discounted)
-New center console trim ($700 Acura discounted)
-Extra set of 7 spoke OEM rims ($1,000)
-Rebuilt Antilock Brake System ($575)
-Fully up to date maintenance, most of which was done in September of this year.
-Bullet-proof OEM head unit and excellent speaker amps ($700+)
-Fully sorted with ALL common NSX issues addressed including power windows, door levers, audio system, coolant hoses, and trunk struts. (Priceless)

This price is negotiable if buyer wants to forgo some of the extras such as the clutch and/or doesn't need the paint work done mentioned above. If the car does not sell in by the end of the year, I will take it off the market until spring. Meanwhile I will have all paint work corrected, seats re-dyed, and rest of interior trim replaced as needed and possibly a new OEM windshield installed. At this point the car will be a condition 2+ and will be worth at least $43K. If you want a great driver that is very close to original and fully sorted, buy it now.

A SPREADSHEET LISTING ALL MAINTENANCE AND OWNERSHIP FROM NEW IS AVAILABLE VIA EMAIL. (I had trouble posting the original ad and now I can't attach anything but pictures.)

There have been a couple of serious buyers who backed out at the last minute. A couple of other potential buyers have expressed serious interest and may visit to check out the car.

BTW, it has been freshly given a light professional detail and looks really good. The gouge in the left rear and the mark left by the shorty antenna are both much improved in appearance. (The pics above are from before the detail work.)

After holding the car for a week or more each for two buyers, not accepting any other offers or visits, and possibly missing an opportunity to sell the car, I am asking a $500 non-refundable deposit if you want me to hold the car. Of course the deposit will be fully applied to purchase price. You can make plans to come look at the car and of course the deposit is not required to inspect, test drive, or even get a PPI done. But for $500 I will hold off on all other offers and change this listing back to "Sale Pending".
