Hi, I no longer am doing the 02+ update so I will give the prime members a shot at it before I list on ebay. $1600 for the parts I have, which isn't a bad deal considering that when I tried to source it from a dealer the headlights alone came to $2700. This is the cheapest way to go if you want to update your NSX. Get the Cantrell front bumper for $1k from SOS and you will have an update on the cheap.
The parts:
1) FRP NSX R style single scooped hood. I say "style" because it is not an exact replica of the NSX-R hood. The vent on this is shallower than the real deal. With this hood, you can still keep your spare tire underneath (you can't do that with the NSX-R hood or most replicas.) The hood is brand new, never mounted, still in original box. It is extremely light (I believe lighter than actual NSX aluminum hood).
2) 2002+ Genuine Honda/Acura headlights (not reproductions). I got these used from Japan. They are set up for RHD. The new owner will have to modify the headlights for LHD. I have instructions/webpage on how to do it. It is not that hard, but I just haven't bothered cuz I am not mounting them to my car. A little elbow grease will save you about $2k.
3) Headlight mounting kit from Science of Speed. New in box.
All you need is to buy a front bumper from SOS or, if you really want to be cheap, modify your original front bumper to accept the new headlights.
One more thing: I WANT A LOCAL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BUYER. I hate packing things. If someone local wants them, they have priority. If no one local wants them, I will consider shipping, but I will leave this ad up for A WEEK before I will consider shipping it.
Any questions, please let me know. My email is [email protected]
Thanks. Paul
